If the traffic light is out, it's a four way stop.

It's really not complicated. Sometimes when it's larger roads with multiple lanes in each direction, sure, it's a little confusing if people start getting very out of sync, but if we all just drive like adults and *be predictable* and not self-centered idiots, it's still not bad. Come on. We're all in this together.

Also someone please turn down the temperature a bit, and the humidity quite a bit. That would be very helpful.

See you all Monday by 11:30pm.

P.S., if anyone has cool pictures of storm damage they don't mind sharing, this is a reasonable place for it. I saw a live downed power line for the first time today (as in, with my own eyes, not a photo, etc). Neat. Someone put that back, please. I was using that.

Southgate Pride event at Veteran's Memorial Library canceled due to a decision by a city administrator. "After consulting with legal council, city administration did not feel that it was appropriate to use municipal funds for the event."

From an email:

"Attached is an updated copy of the June Newsletter, due to the fact that our third annual Southgate Pride program has been canceled due to a decision made by city administration. After consulting with legal council, city administration did not feel that it was appropriate to use municipal funds for the event. If you would like to know more, please reach out to the city administrator Dan Marsh at dmarsh@southgatemi.gov or our director Don Priest at dpriest@southgate.lib.mi.us. In place of this event, we are having Southgate Celebration. We will still have glitter henna and crafts and we hope you will join us this and all of our library programs."

Petition regarding the proposed seven brew coffee shop development

Not my petition, I just saw it and had noticed the ire in the previous posts about the involuntary perpetual lane closure coffee shop.
