Hi all! I’m a single 28F with two cats, for context. I currently live on the SE coast and have an interview with a resort for a salaried position.
I’ve heard conflicting things about the island regarding COL, quality of life, etc. and would really appreciate some info or advice. This would be my second time leaving home completely on my own, but farther than before. The position I’m interviewing for ranges pay from 75-79k.
My questions:
• is that salary realistic to rent somewhere pet-friendly?
• where do most people find rentals? Zillow showed very few around where I’d work
• is a car really necessary?
• is that salary enough to live on?
• pros and cons of living on BI?

I think he really likes having a perch & the comfort of the luggage. I’ve never seen him hang out in the living room this much before. I love that he’s happy, but I need to put this suitcase away eventually.
What’ll give him the same feeling but be more practical for decor/space? One of those small “single-story” cat trees? Cat couch? A cushion? I just want to make him happy, but not spend a small fortune doing so. TIA!
For background, his sister has a medium heart-shaped cat tree in my room that she frequents & essentially claimed. I’ve been wondering lately if his acting out towards her is because he feels like there’s no space of his own? Even though there is a big communal cat tree they would both, and eventually just him, use in the living room.
