The new Balance Sheet

Was initially very excited for this, linked many different types of accounts with 2 other banks and everything seemed ok!

But then I noticed the account balances aren’t refreshing automatically, I tried the manual refresh and that did nothing this morning.

Tried the manual refresh button again now and the app prompted me to re-link every single account. While they did all update after I re-linked them, my CC is showing -1275% all time, with a $96 balance, when in fact I just overpaid it by $96 because there’s some pending transactions (so it should read -$96). This is throwing the whole picture off (yes, very slightly, but still).

Anyone else having issues?? I’m on an iPhone.

Ontario launches financial relief program for some Ottawa residents hit with flooding

This is just whack. How many other people are outside that zone whose basements were filled with a foot (or more) of water?

This government is beyond reproach.

How is everyone doing with the post-flood basement clean-up?

My partner and I spent 7 hours yesterday ripping up the entire basement’s carpet, underpad and trim (today we attack the dry wall). It’s been exhausting. We lucked out through some friends and had an industrial dehumidifier and floor fans dropped off but I’m pretty frustrated with the insurance company’s total lack of response.

The musty mildew smell was already so overwhelming we had no choice but to do all this work on our own. Still haven’t heard from the assessor let alone any cleaning crew or contractors. We had over a foot of water, Westboro area across from a park. Neighbours on either side and several houses up the street were also flooded.

Luckily after almost a full 48 hours off the furnace and hot water tank did start working again, but we need those inspected given how high the water was, and we’re pretty sure the washer and dryer are just totally toast. Would it be worth having them inspected? Unfortunately our cap for property and contents for this is 20k (just the flooring/walls will be over 40k as per the contractor friend who gave us the dehumidifier/fans). We will obviously be re-evaluating our policy and increasing this.

Committee hearing on Bill 105

Is anyone else watching the clause by clause considerations? Started at 10am this morning.

The behaviour of the conservative members is absolutely appalling. They’re all on their cell phones, ignoring the MPPs who are trying to have meaningful and important conversations about Bill 105, and not one of the conservatives has opened their mouth once all day (yes I’ve been watching since this morning).

All they do is wait for a recorded vote on a proposed amendment and immediately vote it down.

I have never seen such deplorable, disgusting behaviour. I’m assuming most people don’t bother seeing how our government is run under the conservatives and their head clown Ford, but it is absolutely abhorrent.

This bill contains within in the most damaging clause possible for injured workers, including injured first responders like myself. My life has been hell for years, and now my future will be too thanks to this clause.

Sorry for the rant but I’ve lost all hope in humanity. I cannot understand how people could willingly vote for a government that has the power, and is using that power, to do irreparable harm to first responders, people like me, who dedicated their careers and sacrificed to serve the public in emergency services.
