A recent purchase I made taught me a lesson about simplicity

It's been a while since I started to make changes with my purchases and I've been trying to be more intentional with what I buy. I try to stick with meaningful purchases and what I actually need instead of just buying everything out of impulse.
That mindset came up recently when it was time to replace my prescription glasses. My initial plan was to go for an expensive designer wear frame because I thought they would last me longer or somehow would be more appealing aesthetics wise. And I wanted to upgrade and somehow get a decent pair. But while I was searching for them, it made me realise that I don't need to spend a fortune on a pair of glasses just because I feel like getting it and being fancy.
I decided to search online for a much more affordable pair of glasses that would equally be offering the same purpose. After comparing a lot of options, I got a cute pair of cat eyed shaped glasses from Firmoo. The prescription was accurate, and I had a lot of options to choose from. This made me realize that I possibly got the same prescription glasses at a much cheaper cost and the quality of the frames is also very durable. I have been wearing them at work and out with friends and I get a lot of compliments.
Simple living and trying to change the mindset of being simple and mindful about your purchases has taught me a lot to not waste money and give in to consumerism, whereas actually spend the money and have some savings as well.

Anyone had experience ordering glasses online?

For a bit of context, I have been working remotely at my new job since 2 months, and it involves a lot of screen time. And for that I was looking at blue light blocking glasses that will help me with the eye strain. I did check out how much glasses will cost and after checking a few optometrists and they are very expensive for me and not something I can afford right now because I have just started work, and I would rather be mindful of my spendings at this point and be careful about my expenses. So I was searching for much cheaper and affordable pair of glasses at the moment.

I have been searching online and came across a lot of recommendations of online stores that have glasses. Anyone else tried online glasses or sunglasses here?

This is what I am carrying in my bag lately

These are some of the things that I carry in my bag and I always make sure I have before leaving the house

-Lip gloss

-Earbuds

-Prescription glasses

-Cushion foundation

Fun fact: I picked up these glasses because they were on sale for around $25 at so technically no risk for me if I didn't end up loving them but their quality turned out to be so good that for the past six months these are the first pair I reach for before heading out.

Which Kdrama characters completely changed your opinions throughout the show

It was Jang Hanseo in Vincenzo for me. I thought he was just annoying at first. but as the show went on he literally became a character I cared about. He completely changed my opinions of him. And I'm not saying like he was all clean by the end of the show NO. Its just that I sort of pitied him and felt so bad for him.

So do you have any such characters in your opinion who changed how you thought of them??
