LAUSD Cafeteria Workers from the 90’s… I Need Cookie Help!!

When I was in elementary school the cafeteria ladies would sell these huge chocolate chip cookies for 50¢. If you were a cafeteria worker around that time, or if you are the child or grandchild of one that you can ask, can you please tell me if they were made from scratch and if so if you have the recipe? Or if it was pre-made dough what brand was it? Until now, I’ve never had a chocolate chip cookie that lives up to that one. I will be forever grateful 🙏

UPDATE: I tried the Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough and while it does make a good cookie, it didn’t taste remotely similar. Next step is gonna be baking them from scratch, using that recipe that’s been floating around, but I need to go buy the supplies so it might not be any time soon. I’ll report back as soon as I do. Thanks every one.

Valley Village/NoHo Farmer’s Market every Saturday!

Wanted to make sure everyone knows (or remind you) that every Saturday morning (until about 1), there is a small Farmer’s Market! By small I mean 2-3 produce stands, a few cooked food stands, coffee, a bread stand, bakery, and Italian food stand, artisanal goods, among others. Great quality foods and items from local SoCal farms and small business owners.

It’s perfect for people like me who want fresh produce from local farms and can only go on weekends because of work, and want to support small businesses, but can’t deal with the prices, nor the crowds, nor the parking situations of bigger Sunday farmers market such as Studio City’s.

Located at the corner of Colfax and Addison, kitty-cat corner to Colfax Elementary School, in that church/school parking lot. It’s still open for a few more hours today. Enjoy!

PS-I have nothing to do with owning or running this farmers market, it’s just a great resource for the community that not many know even exists.
