The Dreaded Running Count... How???

Hello all! I'm a beginner card counter, and I have ~80% of the fundamentals of Advantaged Playing down. Let me know if I'm wrong, but I see it in two parts. The first part's 'the book.' I have that memorized, and I'm working on the deviations now. The second part's 'the count,' which is keeping track of the hi-lo number in your head and comparing it to the shoe's usage for the true count.

Where I'm stuck: How do you make the plays for your hands automatic/memorized while keeping the count running in your head? I struggle with this with just 1-2 hands at a full table, but I can't imagine running 3-4 hands with the number in your head. I feel like I have to keep two things that're split/separate in my mind running in parallel. Is it truly possible to play automatically? On top of that, I always feel awkward trying to lock the count in my head at the end of the hand, lest someone talks to me and I forget the count immediately.

All CCIEs: Where were you when you got it?

Hello! I'm studying for the CCNA right now, and it's definitely an uphill battle. I got curious one night about how evil the other certs could be, and I saw the horror that was the CCNP. I thought "no way could it get any worse" and then I learned about the CCIE and lost my mind!!!

This leads me to my question, which is: Where were you at in your career that you were able to achieve the CCIE? What roles were you in, what experiences had you worked through, projects you built out?

Thank you in advance for your responses; I look forward to learning and reading from you guys!

Professor Messer Sec+ Quizzes?

Hi all! I have a friend who I'm sponsoring to go through the Sec+ course and wanted some reinforcement for the Sec+ Professor Messer videos. I thought he'd have something to follow along with in his course videos, but I suppose not. Do you know if there're any quizzes/flashcards out there that I could get for him? Money's not an issue, the more important thing's that it's cohesive with the Professor Messer videos/pace.

How's the A+ and Net+ Exam compared to the Sec+ Exam?

Hihi! I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where I'm considering taking the A+ and Net+ exams for fun, mostly because I think it'd be cool to have the CSIS. I've already secured my Sec+, and I was wondering how difficult the other exams are relative to it. I've looked over the exam concepts, and they don't look too bad, honestly. I'll have to brush up on a few things, but I've been in IT for 3 years and am decently confident in my networking skills. Again, this is just a "what if?" situation; if it's realistic and I can just do it because I can, I really don't mind taking some tests : D
