Tom Fornelli- 21 P4 football programs spent less than $20 million on their rosters
The Pac-12 has 5? teams spending over $10 million on their rosters.
18 of the 21 lowest spending P4's are in the ACC and Big12 - so 18 of their 33 combined programs. So most the Pac-12 teams would slot into the Big12 with little problem, where spending is concerned.
Jahiem Patterson and Van Wells are each now practicing for Oregon State
x.comI'm confused a bit. Will the non revenue sports be dumped on YouTube for the long term? Or is this just a stopgap because building the App took way longer than anticipated?
I have no problems with them being on YouTube, I just didnt see part of the announcement that this was temporary or not?
Hate him or love him, Canzano reported that “multiple Pac-12 sources” told him the settlement was $70 million - back on May 22nd
I think the main problem is that Canzano writes both articles that are his own speculation and those that are sourced reporting. And people conflate them.
Canzano has posted some doozies speculating about stuff that was wildly off the mark. He also posts sourced reporting that is usually correct
Oregon State ‘working through’ potential returns of Jaheim Patterson, Van Wells
CORVALLIS — Oregon State opened camp with 108 players. Whether two more return to the roster is still be determined.
Last week’s ruling in the U.S. District Court of Colorado allows 2022 high school graduates who previously exhausted their eligibility to return for a fifth season. That opens the door to center Van Wells and defensive back Jaheim Patterson returning to the Beavers.
JaMarcus Shephard said OSU’s compliance department, along with the Pac-12, are “working through” the possibility of Wells and Patterson, each starters last season, returning.
This significantly alters the Beavers projection for 2026. Putting the anchor back on the OL and putting one of the stars of the defense last year back on the field will make the new Beavers dangerous
(these two additions would also make the Beavers the #3 or 4 oldest and most experienced team in FBS this year.)
Dellenger - Only six conference commissioners and Notre Dames AD were invited for the 2 hour conference to finalize the language of the PCSA Fun Belt, MAC, CUSA, and MW commissioners were not invited....
x.comWSU has a new front office face: Tyler Mariucci from Fresno State
x.comBulldog fans, where should I sit for a Bulldongs game as a Beavers fan on Halloween?
Single game tickets just went on sale and my wife and I are planning our first new Pac-12 football season. Halloween in our Beaver Orange and Black in Fresno seems like fun.
The visiting team section, 28, tickets are only $40. This seems suspiciously low? Are these terrible seats?
Will we have batteries hucked at us if we sit somewhere else?
Any updates on the MW/Pac-12 settlement?
Are we waiting until Aug 31st for the resolution? Haven't heard anything in weeks and its really the last hurdle towards leaving the past behind
QB Thad Thatcher’s commitment party tonight - Going live on YouTube ~ 7pm PST. Michigan or Oregon State?
x.comUtah State recruiting... Uhhh, are you guys OK?
https://247sports.com/college/utah-state/season/2027-football/commits/
Utah State's current recruiting class is ranked below 5 FCS teams right now, without a single ranked player.
RB Deron Foster commits to Oregon State over Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, and Florida State
x.comRoss Dellenger - "There’s now a “shot clock” on accelerated expansion talks"
https://x.com/RossDellenger/status/2069840804944728231?s=20
Instead of going into effect on Jan 1 2027, the PCSA would now apply immediately on the date in which President Donald Trump signs, freezing conference membership for an indeterminate amount of time (no sunset provision). It creates a quasi-deadline now on realignment.
"And now, given the bill's anti-expansion provision, those discussions have accelerated, according to several officials with knowledge of the talks. Are they accelerating to a place of imminent action? No.
It has put a shot clock on it," said one power league athletic director.
If you don't move before it becomes law, "You're screwed," says another high-ranking administrator in a power conference."
There is mad scramble for Big12 and ACC schools to get their place at the P2 table and G6 schools to get into a P4 league before realignment is possibly frozen.
The next couple of weeks might be very eventful, IMHO, the new look Pac-12 might fly apart before it ever plays a football game.
The language of the bill could be changed, the bill might die, etc. But the next couple of weeks might be fairly eventful for realignment
Oregon State expands their haul of recruits over the weekend to five
Flipping 3 star Ayden Payne from San Diego State - he wants to be the next Travis Hunter, he plays both WR and Safety on his high school team.
And Juan Garcia-Okoi, strangely another CB, committed to Oregon State over Duke, NDSU, and UNT
https://x.com/Beavers_Edge/status/2068863362306552128?s=20
247sports lists Ayden Payne as a 3 star, Garcia-Okoi has 3 star all over his social media but 247sports lists him as unranked
So far this weekend Oregon State has added three 3 star CB's
Johnny McNeill from Downey California chose Corvallis over Kansas State and Boise State
Amir Reese of Fort Walton Beach Florida has committed to the Beavers over Georgia Tech, UCF, and Tulane - among others
Nathaniel Mensah of Rancho Cucamonga chose Corvegas over Utah, Cal, Nebraska, and UNC

I believe there are 5? more recruits visiting Oregon State this weekend, so hoping there is some more recruiting news
So far Shep has landed a Big12/ACC roster of WR's and CB's. Some lineman and a QB and this years class is shaping up to be on par with pre implosion classes (Beavers usually hover around #45-65 in the rankings)
