Brushes - What are your favorites for painting 15's?

I really like the Nicpro brushes from Amazon, they're cheap, and I like the way the brushes are shaped and the way they paint. But they dont last long at all. I've ordered 5, 5 packs of brushes in the last 7 months from Amazon.

The Chinese cheapies seem to be similar quality to Vallejo's brushes

What's your favorite good budget brush to crank out some Bulge American infantry or Carthaginian Spanish cavalry?

Canzano:Pac-12 and MW settle lawsuits, but turf fight continues

"What I know....

On the ‘poaching penalty’ front, mediation between the Pac-12 and MW last summer was tough sledding. The parties dug in as the judge set court dates that spanned into the summer of 2027. Neither league appeared interested in relenting. I had sources on both sides tell me, straight-faced, that they thought they had a winning case.

The Pac-12 seemingly prevailed on a series of court rulings and was holding the money. One source told me, “Nothing in the arc of the antitrust case ever went against the Pac-12.” File that away while we wait for details of the settlement to leak.

One involved person compared the exit fee mediation to a tug-of-war with an elephant. At one point, the attorneys for the five departing schools said they’d be willing to pay $9 million per school, according to a source.

The MW counteroffer came: “$18 million per school.”

A second offer was eventually presented: “$10 million per school.”

The answer again came: “$18 million.”

That’s where things stood last summer when talks stalled."

“I am waiting to see what the conference is going to do in 2027 as it pertains to are they adding a football-only member? There's been a lot of smoke around UConn. UConn is currently one of the two programs nationally that competes as an independent.”

“UConn has been able to cobble together schedules in independent schedules and play games. So I think there is some truth to the thought that if the Pac-12 is going to add a school as a one-off, football only, that UConn could be that school. Now is it possible that the Pac-12 could do some things from a basketball standpoint with UConn? Absolutely. And the people I talk with in the Pac-12, campus sources, university presidents, athletic directors, it's not that they're telling me that UConn is super attractive to the Pac-12. It's that they won't shoot it down when I bring it up.”

Dax Whitney‘s season is over. Whether the Oregon State ace has thrown his last pitch in college baseball is unclear.

Whitney is expected to undergo Tommy John surgery with Dr. Keith Meister, according to ESPN, citing an anonymous source.

The top prospect in the 2027 MLB draft, Whitney (6-1, 2.00 ERA) left his April 24 start against Hawaii due to arm tightness.

Following Tuesday’s game with UTRGV, Oregon State coach Mitch Canham said he did not have an update on Whitney’s condition. Canham did not immediately respond to a message from The Oregonian/OregonLive and an OSU spokesman could not confirm Whitney’s injury.

Tommy John surgery — UCL reconstruction — can take as little as 9-12 months to recover from, with 12-18 months more usual for baseball pitchers. ESPN’s report states Whitney is expected to “return well ahead” of the 2027 MLB draft, which is in July.
