Our company has mandated that everyone "vibe-codes" from now on.

It was only a matter of time, but with the popularity of AI coding tools, someone on our team went over everyone's heads and "vibe coded" our entire platform by himself on a few weeks which barely functions but looks nice - then essentially implied, "hey, why keep all these guys when you can just give me a promotion and let me vibe code your full stack".

When our team confronted him about this, he said, "no offence, but you either get with the times, or get left behind".

Now our deadlines have shrunk drastically and we're taking on an impossible number of projects. Our company essentially has an unlimited token limit on a popular AI service and essentially has given us no choice but to either vibe code our projects from here on out to get them out the door, or find another job.

Just curious to see if other people have encountered similar shifts at their job and if things are turning out okay.

Found another one in the wild

These are the people ruining our culture while gaslighting, bullying and claiming moral superiority over everyone else.

Well, this is a bit disappointing. Could they not find any other director who doesn't have a history of discrimination and creating a hostile work environment? For anyone who isn't aware of the 2024 article written about him, I've included it in the post.

In the new Disclosure movie, why would only Christians "question their faith in God" and not any other religion?

As a Jewish person myself, I found this statement odd and believe it can cause unnecessary division/polarization.

Why not just say any religion may question their faith? (as ridiculous as that sounds as well, it would at least not alienate other people and their faith)

Video: Why modern DEI practices are extremely sinister and how they got this way.

Great video that explains why modern dei practices are extremely sinister and not what they claim to be - and how so many companies got on board to speed run their demise around the same time.

I miss Farsight's Pinball Arcade

Physics and accuracy opinions aside, I am in awe at how many table licenses they secured in their tenure.

We're unlikely to see a single table collection of that size all under one roof ever again - and it's pretty unfortunate.

Anyone notice channels that would tear the new 007 game apart suddenly begin praising it?

This is usually strange since all the usual telltale signs are there that the game is ideological garbage (maybe a bit less than usual, but it's still present). However, YouTube channels that normally would call this out (and have) are suddenly retracting their critiques and stating 'I was wrong".

I think mugtheif, luke and Endymion are the ones that come to mind most recently for doing this.

Let's see how many times those roles are reversed in the same game...

If the women are portrayed as nothing but stoic, intelligent strong and flawless characters - then yes, the game is woke.

Anytime a game does not portray characters equally (flaws and all) then it is propaganda like all the others.

The fact women are also hit with the ugly stick is par for the course, but not the main issue. Even if all the women in the game were bombshells, it would still be propaganda when they all portrayed in flawless ways - or if they were evil, are not held responsible or accountable for their actions.

From the people that cry about attractive women in gaming...

If these people didn't have double standards, they'd have no standards at all.

The Odyssey will not have an orchestral soundtrack because "it's not like an orchestra existed back then".

So crazy that THIS is where he draws the line at realism.
