Varina resident received notification from Verizon that her home phone and Internet will need to change

Verizon sent notification to my parents that they are doing away with copper line based service. Parents currently have DSL Internet and plain old telephone service. I know that their current setup is a bit antiquated but it's all they need and they are not tech savvy. Internet speed doesn't mean much to them as they are very light Internet users.

They live near Strath Road and New Market. Can anyone suggest a simple solution for them? They want to keep a land line in the house. They want to keep their current phone number. The Verizon website is a bit confusing. Does Verizon offer solutions in order to keep basic Internet and land line? (Parents don't have a mobile phone and don't want one. "Too complicated".)

They also have Comcast/Xfinity as their cable provider. Do they offer a landline service?

I know that finding a solution should be as simple as looking at each company's website but it's not that easy.

Has anyone in the Varina area found a solution?

(Video) The incredibly comlicated scenery technology behind The American Adventure at EPCOT

One of the greatest engineering marvels that Walt Disney Imagineering has created. Show sets are connected together on a giant moving mechanism that has the ability to go back and forth and lift the scenes up and down behind a massive rear projected screen to bring the story of the United States of America to life.

Does anyone notice audio clipping when listening to SiriusXM via Alexa devices?

Louder audio passages get a little bit fuzzy and distorted. I've noticed this on some stations more than others. Specifically classical music. Is it because some channels are given less bandwidth than others? Is it a compression problem? I'm surprised the problem hasn't been addressed and corrected.

The Lost Boys - Designer Jen Schriever Discusses her Lighting Design

Ok yes, the set is challenging but I knew immediately it would be a thrill to light. It’s difficult in that there’s tons of scenery to dodge and almost nothing is parallel to the edge of the stage, but on a certain level it’s very very easy: It’s a towering, porous, angular black void—a gift to a lighting designer. -Jen Schriever

With Verizon eventually abandoning their DSL service in the future, can anyone recommened replacement Internet providers that are available in the area? Don't need a lot of speed. No streaming, no gaming. Mainly for email, Meta (Facebook), and casual Internet browsing. Only one person would need access at any given time.
