Self teaching jazz guitar and I’m wondering what’s people’s process for learning lead lines.

I will be visiting in July and potentially moving to Singapore in a few years. I was curious what the experience is for amateur to pro drummers on the island. How often do you get to get behind a real kit? If so, how do you make it work? What’s the demand for what you can do? In what ways do you compromise? Is there a genre/format that seems to dominate? Any information is appreciated.

I am considering joining the SP404 club but am wondering about its potential. I am interested in it for playing beats and vocal effects, which seems to be something it’s great at, but I was wondering if there’s more to it I don’t know about.

Are you able to chop samples and use them for composition? Anyone here use them to make weird dissonant stuff? I make ambient instrumental stuff and also freestyle over beats (on separate projects) if that information is of any use.
