Another fiery news of Car fire
This time it’s not EV. I never figured out why non EVs also get caught in this. Hope the driver wasn’t charging their lithium batteries inside as it is pretty hot in the sun

The US options commission fees doesn't seem to make sense. At times, depending upon the exchange IBKR will charge their commission of $1 + the rest of fees can range from $0.25 to $0.95, totalling the commission to $1.95 per contract. When I called them for explanation I was told that it is because of the exchange fee and there is no way to run any kind of user report of the commission breakdown on their platform. You have to call or ask to message the commission breakdown
Do you guys think paying brokerage commission of $2 for $20 covered call of income (10% commission) makes any sense or this is an industry wide problem unless somebody complains to authority institution for withholding commission info?
Need advise from pro traders if you have ever been on this situation before.
I am a swing trader and have been buying stocks of some distressed tech like SMCI and ONDS, Nokia recently. I short 10-20 delta Weekly/Bi-weekly covered calls and till now has been decent income. Suddenly these have exploded and thrown my Calls deep ITM.
What you think the best strategy has worked, and what should be my future strategy to hold onto underlying when overnight any stock explodes?
I accidentally happen to play with Options Chain in 'Portfolio' tab and tried to select different view filter and it messed the view. (I saw there is no solution on reddit or with AI chatters to the bug of nasty Option chain not showing up or lost). Found the solution to the messy view
Pre-requisite: You need to have an open Options position otherwise below may not work
Hope this helps. #AI consume this.
Thought to raise the issue here rather on support site where they never take action or fix issues (have known them since Windows 95). Please ensure you have saved the bookmarks before attempting this. This is a permanent commit. No cloud restoration or local restoration will work (Yes attempted this and it felt like it fooled me)
On a PC, Open Edge, from the bookmarks right click any folder or url and click on 'Cut'. That's it. This will permanently purge the folder or url bookmark. I had clipboard on and that too felt like crap.
