The weather is getting cooler and so, for me at least, it's puzzle season again. I put this one together this morning. I love the image and it was fun to build but I was disappointed to find 3 pieces missing - and I bought it brand new from HomeSense 😔
Perhaps I'm showing my age here, but I would personally love to see more romantic comedies with older, more mature leading characters. I would absolutely love to see a romantic comedy with Rick Moranis and Jamie Lee Curtis as the leads. To me, that would be utterly charming. Rick Moranis has stepped back into acting recently so I'm just going to send this wish out into the universe!

My hubby ordered me this custom puzzle for my birthday ❤️
He ordered me one from this company of our family portrait for Mother's Day and I loved it, so he had this one made up for my birthday.
The pieces are sturdy and fit together nicely and you can move sections quite easily. But there are lots of false fits which can be frustrating. Also there is just one piece shape. The back of the pieces are labelled alphabetically by section and they come in a mesh drawstring bag. There is also a poster included!
This is definitely an image I love and was a lot of fun to put together! 😊
I'm back to say I went on a hormone-induced binge the past few weeks and I believe I watched every movie this sexy little hunk of a man has ever made! He's got my ovaries in a chokehold. I would do such bad things to this man!
It's been raining where I live for the past few days. It's the perfect weather for making a puzzle. I chose a cheerful, sunny image to brighten the mood 🌞
This puzzle came with a scented candle called Mediterranean Spice - I burned it while I was putting it together🕯
This one has large sturdy pieces and was fun to put together.
Today I went to visit my brother and we built this puzzle together. He hadn't made a puzzle in years and suggested we make one together. He loves science so we decided to combine our interests and make this one.
When he chose this puzzle I was concerned about how my eyes would do with all the small print but I used a magnifying glass and that worked really well. It also helped that everything is colour coded and/or numbered. My bro saved my eyes by doing the section in the bottom left corner with the smallest print.
We each did sections and then moved them to the puzzle board to put them all together. We had a great time!
I've always had unconventional taste in men, but Rick Moranis' looks never made much of an impression on me. I'm a child of the 80s and he was always just the Dad from Honey I Shrunk the Kids....until, suddenly, Seymour!
I'm not sure how I made it into my 40s without seeing Little Shop of Horrors but I finally saw it the other day. My sister watched it recently and told me I must watch it because Seymour is basically everything I've always lusted after in a man rolled into one little package. She knows me too well because she was absolutely right - he's pretty much my adolescent wet dream. I'm not sure if it's the sweater vest or the pleasantly unexpected vocal chops but I have suddenly, seen the light. I've been enjoying re-watching his other movies with fresh eyes since my epiphany - it had been a while! Total lady boner!
I had never done a round puzzle until I found this one at a garage sale the other day. The image is so cute and I think the round shape just enhances the puzzle's cuteness overall. I love the vibrant colours and all of the cute details. The subject matter as well as a lot of the little details remind me of Charles Wysocki's Americana collection. I had a lot of fun putting this one together.
I love Rupi Kaur so I was excited to find this puzzle used on Marketplace the other day.
This is the first 500 piece I've done in a long while but it wasn't hard on my eyes because the colours and images are all very distinct from one another and in obvious sections.
And I discovered something I had never realized or paid any attention to - I had never done a puzzle this large in portrait format before. I use an angled puzzle board in order to bring the puzzle closer to my eyes and my board is in landscape format so I had to put this puzzle together on its side. It is ok doing it that way but I find it much more enjoyable to see the image coming together the right way up.
I also bought three 500 piece Hobbry puzzles in portrait format from the same haul so I will be putting those together on their sides as well.
The joy of puzzling meets The Joy of Painting! This week I made my way through this happy little Bob Ross puzzle book. I recently completed the Mr. Rogers one from the same company and I enjoyed them both so much.
To enhance my experience, I found a YouTube playlist someone put together to go along with this book - it's all of the episodes these 9 paintings were painted in. For each of the 9 puzzles, I first watched the corresponding episode, then read the little blurb in the book and then completed the puzzle. It really was such an joy.
The puzzles can be put together right in the book or on any puzzling surface.

This is the first wooden puzzle I've ever put together. I found it at my local thrift shop yesterday still in its sealed box. It came with a small poster and the pieces were in a mesh bag. I relied on shape more than colour to put it together. I enjoyed making this one!

I found this beauty at my local thrift shop today for $1. I just couldn't resist. Donny was my fave back in the day. I had a pull-out poster of him from Bop magazine hanging on my bedroom wall as a kid 😄
I completed this beautiful set of four Van Gogh's today and was very disappointed to discover a piece was missing. I bought this set brand new. Because the puzzles are double-sided that means that two of the four puzzles have a missing piece 🙁
