A little background: On January my ex and myself broke up after 10 years of being in a relationship. We get along super well, since we created more bonds beyond the romantic. We are family.
We also still live in the same apartment, since we bought it together and we need some time to sell it and each go find our own place.
I started dating 2 months ago. I have only had two dates, but I made sure to tell them right away about my situation. None of them seemed to be bothered about it.
One thing that I don’t like about my situation is that, OFC, I can’t bring someone I’m dating to our apartment. It would just plain wrong. It sucks but such is life.
I just wonder how some of you would feel or what would you think if someone you are dating is in the same situation as me.

Mid January my ex-partner and myself broke up after a 10yo relationship. Everything is great between us since we had a very healthy relationship and we still treat each other as family. There is real love, just not romantic. I met her on Tinder, actually.
I just started coming back into the dating world and I’m using different apps. I’m just re learning stuff 🙃.
In dating goals there are several options.
I’m personally looking to meet someone for a long term relationship, ideally a life partner.
But I have no rush and I’m totally ok with FWB.
My question would be is if I choose stuff like:
-“Long term, short term ok”
-“Long Term” and also “Open to see where things go”
and stuff like that, may put off a real potential partner from matching because they may think I’m playing.
Most of my past partners I met while I was FWB with someone else. As soon as I start dating someone seriously, I stop meeting those FWB with physical intentions.
I have always been crystal clear with someone about my intentions with them, so they don’t have to wonder where they stand and no one get’s hurt because of dishonesty.
I can also note that many of my past FWB are still close friends with no “benefits” at all. A connection with people matters to me and I keep people I care about around. Heck, one of them hooked me up with a therapist when my younger brother passed away, that’s true friends love!
I don’t do one night stands. Like I said, a connection matters.
So, again. What do you think? Is it in my best interest to stick to only “Long Term Relationship” and “Life partner” or do you think it doesn’t hurt if I mention that a short term thing works as well?

Hello. I have been texting with this match and I’ve pretty much been the one asking her things about herself. Then, when I asked her if there was something she would like to know about me, she just ignored and continued chatting normally.
I’m usually not keen on going out with someone that doesn’t show interest in knowing about me.
