Delusions

What are some of your most mild delusions vs your most extreme delusions. I'm trying to get a handle on what delusions can look like in their most "innocent" form. Usually everyone is aware when the big ones happen to me, but what are some small every day ones that disrupt your thought processes?

No experience except as an SAHM, ideas?

Whew. Okay. I am a 35-year-old woman who has been a stay-at-home mom since I was 17. I have a high school degree. I worked for roughly a month at a time at different places and quickly quit in my 20's and did some nannying here and there, but never kept their information for my records. I just didn't think this far ahead. Now my kids are all older school age, and I don't even have volunteer work to fall back on. I am in a place right now where I have time to volunteer and figure things out, even go to college if I want. But I'd love to get an entry-level job, even stocking shelves or running a register, as long as it can fit into picking my kids up from school. Maybe even a night shift job would be better? Ideas anyone? I feel like it is a pretty bleak outlook over here.

[35/F] Looking for oddball penpals

I'm a woman living in northern Colorado looking for other quirky, introverted, or overly honest people to send letters to. I love to read, go on long walks/hikes (I hope to do a long thru hike someday), watch anime, go antique shopping (I have an infatuation with the 1920s-90s), cook, travel, write novels, and other oddball things. I love hearing from people from all walks of life and from all different countries/religion, but I don't mind people in my own backyard either. I tend to write in a stream of consciousness and over share about my life. Love me some gossip too, so lay it on thick. I love about learning about the innermost thoughts and dreams and fears of people I talk to...small talk is not my forte. I don't mind any gender or age as long as you're 18+.

Send me a DM if I sound like your type of person! I plan on moving into a cabin deep in the mountains in the next year or two and I'm looking to pad my penpal list before then.

There and back again.

A couple of weeks ago I posted about my flight to Tokyo from Denver. It was a whirlwind of fun and food and many many stairs. Two days ago I made the 12 hour flight back home. I can't say I liked it any better, but I did it and everything went smoothly except for a few bumps. We had to fly out quite a ways to avoid a big storm. I'll post a photo of the flight path because I think it's cool. If I can do it (the big fraidy cat that I am) anyone can!!

Today, I fly.

For context, I had a severe mental breakdown three years ago a month out from our flight to Japan. Long story short, we canceled. Today, I get my redemption arc. I'd love for someone to track me. UA143. Denver to Tokyo.

A few years ago my husband and I booked a flight to Japan. I spiraled a month before leaving. It was a whole thing that made me a nervous wreck for weeks even after we canceled the trip. Now we are ready to try again. I'm a month out and I'm feeling a little nervous, but nothing like last time. It's a 12 hour flight, my first international one. The ONLY other flight I've been on was a quick one hour flight from Denver to Oklahoma City. I just keep trying to imagine how much fun I'll have in Japan. Maybe some of you can track me the day of my flight? I'll put my info here before I board the plane.

Being a millennial, you would think I would have known Reddit would have been angry by my last post. But I didn't. Let me try again.

34/F. I have been lonely for most of my life. Bullied in school and ignored by my parents and siblings. I used to read books about people who made lasting friendships and fell in love. I dreamed that I would have that one day too. Now I have a husband, kids, and two cute dogs. But I don't work, and I spend 80% of my day waiting for my family to come home from school and work. I've taken to penpaling to help alleviate the loneliness. If that is something you're interested in, you can comment or DM. Otherwise I would love to chat online.

34/F Hi there everyone. I've been alone most of my life, bullied severely in childhood and mostly ignored by siblings and parents. I used to read a lot about people who would make connections like friendship and love and hoped that I would have it one day too. I have a husband and children and 2 small dogs now and I love them more than anything, but I don't work and I spend 80% of my day alone just waiting for everybody to come home from school and work. During that time I've gotten into the habit of penpaling strangers. Simple handwritten letters back and forth help me to feel like I have people in the world that care about me. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, comment below and we can DM our mailing address. Please no weirdos or at least not the bad kind of weirdos as I think people that are quirky are quite fun to write to. 18+, and in the United States only.
