I'm trying to make a game which is a blend of classic game books mixed with a dungeon crawler, here's my current progress.

I've been working on this in my spare time for a while now, it originally started off as a game version of a fighting fantasy style game book and over time has evolved into this.

The game is three separate but intertwined adventures with familiar RPG tropes. To mix it up a bit, I'm building out a combat system featuring configurable dice. Over the course of the adventures you collect companions which each have their own dice class (sort of like Pokemon I guess). You collect "dice sides" to attach to each dice you own, these sides are primarily used in combat, but also open up skill ability options during the main game (e.g. agility sides allowing you to leap over a chasm, an axe side allowing you to break down a door).

Would love to hear any comments and critique and advice on where to go next with it!

Update on my Fighting Fantasy inspired game book videogame

Hi all, wanted to share my latest progress on Trinoxis, my ongoing project on trying to find the line between game book style gameplay and a CRPG dungeon crawler.

For those that have commented previously, I've iterated upon the physical book representation (i.e. left and right pages) and come up with this "DnD GM Screen" style look. From a game perspective, I think it frames the action a bit better but I'd love to get some feedback on it.
