Partial brick? Blue Triangle and Running Man important?

Purchased the Fenix 8 from REI 10 days ago which came with firmware version 15.xx.

After updating firmware to 21.XX it bricked and would only power on with no screen, and only way for screen on was by attaching power cable - as reported by others.

Now with version 21.39 it will power on, no blue triangle, no running man, but eventually will screen on without needing to attach power cable. No other functionality seems impacted but I am not a power user. So does the lack of blue triangle and running man pose an issue? Of course I am a little worried that the lack of those items can mean that something else isn't working but as of now I have no proof.

XDome 1+ Pitch with full ground sheet

MSR ground sheet modified to work with the XDome. So far it’s worth the weight penalty to get the full vestibule coverage.

Sports massage near South rim

Just finished South Kaibab to Bright Angel CG to Bright Angel Trail and could really use some work on the legs. Any recommends for a good sports masseuse near the park? No happy ending comments please!

Uber or Taxi Early A.M.?

I’d like to get an early morning start on S. Kaibab from Mathers CG or close this week before the bus starts running. Is there a dependable Uber driver or taxi service you can recommend?

For hiking down to bottom of canyon and out, is wearing snake gaitors recommended? I already wear high hiking boots and don't like the idea of adding more weight and warmth.
