Finally got a good pic

I’m not a photographer and I don’t dink around with color correction, I think I found a good location and took an okay shot.

Tag Time

Okay, time to get my tags. I have a friends group where there were three of us with the name Phil. There is Pilot Phil (he flys), black Phil (name is spot on), and me, Kilted Phil.

I own more kilts than pants or shorts combined to honor my mother and where her family hails from and where she was born and raised. Kilts are my thing.

My key is set to greet me when I start my Soup with Kilted 1 .

I have wanted a Soup since 94, when I traded in Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 for a Dodge Durango and put the idea of getting a Supra in the closet with the expectation of never getting one.

Now, as an adult with two grown daughters and my first grandchild and I have actually been able to get one. I feel like I kilt it every time I start her engine.

She is, to me, like a muse to an artist, a writer, or musician. Something that inspires me to create, tinker, a downpipe here, new springs there, maybe an exhaust upgrade to bring hear throaty growl.

My quandary, what should my license plate be? Let’s hear your thoughts? Should be?

Dressed my girl up.

My Soup is my canvas and now she has the dove and grenade, flag on display, so those that know will know.

And night time has a little more pop.

Auto paint touch up recommendations?

I just recently bought my dream car, she is a low mileage vehicle with a couple small scratches (1” and maybe 1.5”) as well as some minor pitting on the hood. I would like to get her hood wrapped in PPF but only after the touch up.

Does anyone have recommendations for a quality shop in town?

Any Supra owners in Wichita?

I have met one other Soup owner and was curious if there are any other owners from Wichita in this group?

Carbon Fiber Hood Thoughts?

I saw a guy in town who has done some upgrades to his Supra and was just curious what ya’ll think of carbon fiber hoods?

This one is from StreetDrivenPerformance.net. I spoke with the guy and he said it fits perfectly.

Joined the Club

It’s been 30 years since I last owned a sports car. I had a 91 3000VR4 for about two years and then along came the first baby and goodbye went the Mitsubishi.

When I had the 3000 and a 94 Supra would pull up behind me, I always had rear view mirror envy and thought to myself some day.

That day was Tuesday, May 19, 2026. She is 2024 3.0 Premium and had 20200 miles on her. Looks almost brand new and was well maintained inside and out.

I wanted to ask ya’ll how often do you perform oil changes. I read 10K but that seems longer than would make me comfy.

Also looking for any additional advice (yes she will be getting 93 octane) to help me keep her in tip top shape and has anyone had their’s wrapped?

Also, forgot to mention, she is one sexy assed beast and I am actually super excited to join the club.

Forgot to mention, she’s a manual. 😀
