[22M][M4F] [Jena, Germany] Tall Future Physicist Looking For His Other Half

Assalamu alaikum everyone!

I’m a 22-year-old physics graduate from Khalifa University (UAE), originally Omani-Zanzibari with Tanzanian roots. This autumn I’ll be moving to Germany to begin an MSc in Quantum Science and Technology at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. In shaa Allah, I hope to pursue a PhD afterwards and build a career in scientific research.

A little about me:
• Islam is central to my life, and I’m always striving to improve both my deen and my character.

• I’m passionate about physics, quantum technologies, photonics, astrophysics, and scientific research.

• Outside academia, I enjoy reading Islamic history, world history, and philosophy, astronomy and stargazing, travelling, cooking, occasional gaming, and conversations that go beyond small talk.

• I’d describe myself as thoughtful, ambitious, curious, loyal, and occasionally goofy. I enjoy conversations where both people leave having learned something new.

What I’m looking for:
I’m here because I’d like to get to know someone with marriage as the eventual goal, but I’m not looking to rush into it. My realistic timeline is by the end of 2029, In shaa Allah. I’d rather spend that time getting to know the right person properly, involve families at the appropriate stage, and build a strong foundation than rush one of the biggest decisions in life.

Ideally, I’m looking for a practising Muslim woman with good character, emotional maturity, a family-oriented mindset, and a genuine desire to grow together in deen and in life. Shared intellectual curiosity is a wonderful bonus, but kindness, taqwa, and compatibility matter far more to me.

Oh, and yes… I’m actually 6’5”. ☀️

If you think we’d get along, feel free to reach out. May Allah grant all of us righteous spouses and place barakah in our search. Ameen.

[22M4F] #Germany #Online Tall future scientist searching for his soulmate

Hey everyone,

I’m a 22-year-old Omani-Zanzibari physics graduate from the UAE. This fall I’ll be moving to Germany to begin an MSc in Quantum Science & Technology.
A little about me:

☀️ 6’5” (196 cm), broad build, fair-skinned

⚛️ Passionate about physics, astronomy, quantum science, and understanding how the universe works

📚 Also enjoy history, philosophy, technology, and deep conversations that make you think

✍️ I enjoy writing, cooking, research projects, and occasionally disappearing down random intellectual rabbit holes for hours

What I’m most drawn to is curiosity. Someone who is genuinely passionate about learning, whether that’s science, history, literature, religion, engineering, medicine, art, or something completely different.
I’m not looking for perfection. Just someone with a good heart, strong values, and a desire to build something meaningful together.

Admitted into Abbe School of Photonics - MSc Quantum Sciences and Technology

Hey everyone!

I just got admitted into ASP last Tuesday, just 6 days after submitting my application, and I got the Zulassungsbescheid!

I want to get to know people who are also pursuing a Masters in this institution as well and probably get to know what the social life is like!

I recently joined the OPTICA/SPIE chapter at the university but the atmosphere has been somewhat platonic and quite boring. Is this the usual social life experience in this place or is it just a preliminary thing (i.e as in I haven’t seen enough of the social life yet)?

Admitted to MSc at FSU Jena - worried my final gpa will affect my admission

Hi everyone,

I was admitted to the M.Sc. Quantum Science and Technology program at Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Abbe School of Photonics) for Winter 2026, and got the Zulassungsbescheid with that admission.

My admission letter says the admission is conditional upon successfully completing my bachelor’s degree and submitting the final documents before enrollment.

I recently received my final GPA and I’m worried because it converts to around 2.2 on the German scale, while the program website mentions a 2.0 requirement.

However, the admission itself was already manually reviewed and granted.

Has anyone here experienced a similar situation with German MSc admissions (especially Jena/ASP or Uni-Assist)?
Do universities usually re-evaluate the exact GPA strictly after admission, or is successful completion of the degree the more important factor once admitted?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience in this process. Thanks!
