Do you think TBS bikes should be reservable?

I live near the 12th busiest bike dock in the city, so it’s not uncommon to check the app in my way out to only see one available, or zero at the closets and one at another dock further away. I was thinking it might be neat to have a feature where you can reserve one for between 1-3 minutes so by the time you get to the rack it’s still there. Communauto does something similar where you can reserve a car for 30 minutes but if it lapses or you cancel it you can’t book the same car again. I’ve sprinted to a rack that said it had a bike multiple times only for it to get sniped by someone else, at least this way if you open the app and see one available you’d know it’s still going to be there.

Wallet found near College and Bathurst!

Found it last night in the rain, no ID inside but rather distinct. Tell me the name written on it and the colour and we can meet up : )

What kind of cyclist are you? I've always done the left arm up but see the right arm out pretty frequently

Leica m4-2 rangefinder patch suddenly out of horizontal alignment, adjusting the eccentric isn't enough

Picked up my camera this morning and notice the horizontal alignment of the rangefinder patch when set to infinity is off. The patch image doesn't quite make it to the centre. I tried twisting the eccentric screw but even at it's closest it's still a good distance off from centre. I was using my camera last night and while I don't remember hitting it it's possible it bumped into something.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. Is there another adjustment, or maybe something under the top plate that may have gotten misaligned? When pushing the cam wheel with my finger I can get the patch to line up at infinity but have to apply a bit of force at the very end to get it all the way

It’s getting rough out here in Canada 💀

This and the 2 pack fudak disposable are the only things Walmart carries anymore, I miss the good old days of superia 400 3 packs for 27 bucks 🥲

I work in a building that holds a lot of old records and material pertaining to the city and one day saw these in the recycling. Unfortunately a lot of stuff gets weeded out thanks to a lack of space but these caught my eye so I decided to save them. Upon scanning and stitching them together I realized they make up a map of what could have happened to west Chinatown and Kensington Market.

There’s no date on the map, but judging from the street names, mainly Baldwin west of Spadina still being called Clyde St, and Kensington having already been renamed from Vanauley St, the map was probably drawn up between 1889 and 1898. There’s also no markings to suggest what the map was showing, but if the plans had gone through it would have majorly altered Kensington market and Chinatown. Kensington Ave would never have had the chance to become the vibrant gem it is now, and large parts of the grange neighbourhood would have been levelled for what looks like a four lane road. Most notably Spadina just north of Dundas (then still the fractured collection of streets including St. Patrick St) would have been severally altered to create a very unique looking seven street super intersection.

This may have been a city plan, or just some developers dream, but I for one am so glad it never came to be. If anyone has any info or guesses on what this was I’d love to hear about it!
