What color, celestial event, or themed MoonSwatch would you like to see next?

We'll get a total lunar eclipse in 2029 turning the moon red, but we're probably not going to have to wait 3 years for the next MoonSwatch. What would you like to see from Swatch next?

Longshot - Anyone own this hat?

Trying to hunt down a hat. This is from the 2019-20 "Cities" run, I guess they gave it out as a freebie with the purchase of game tickets. I'd really like to see photos of it in person, if not have the chance to buy one.

Thanks for any leads!

MoonSwatch Suitcase!

Posted this earlier but took some better photos since then, so i'm reposting.

Swatch's official briefcase for the MoonSwatches on display in the retail stores have never been sold officially, except for a handful that were auctioned off with a full set of moonshine gold swatches, however these were slightly different.

I asked and asked, but my local store said no. I tried to buy one privately, one that escaped the system, but they wanted $1,499. I decided to just make my own.

I bought some blank cases from a factory supplier in China, had a custom paper insert made to match the retail ones, and designed some 3D printed parts to bring it all to completion. This is the final result, costing much less than that official one would be to purchase.

I had to buy several blanks, so if anyone else is interested in one, let me know. I barely have the space for one, let alone four. PM for details!

You completed the ESTA. Now what?

For those of you who completed the ESTA, so long as you got the confirmation screen, your submission is in. Now what?

You may or may not receive an email confirmation as well within 24 hours. Swatch's system is supposed to send these out to everyone, but with the backend getting overwhelmed with the number of submissions they're getting, you might not get one at all. This doesn't mean you got answers wrong, or that if you did get one you got them right. It's just Swatch's system being janky as usual.

After July 21st, ESTA applications will close, and Swatch's system will likely filter out and reject anyone who got answers wrong. This is obviously an annoyance, but Swatch will likely get hundreds of thousands if not over a million applications, so they have to cut it down somehow. From here, Swatch's internal judges will go over submissions manually and choose 1,969 ESTA applications out of the (i assume) 100,000-200,000 or so that were submitted with 'correct' answers.

If I were to guess, Swatch will try to select at least one application for every Swatch store, so if you live in an area with a pretty small population, your chances of getting one might be better than a big metro. Beyond that, Swatch's judges will be picking applications based on answers they like to the write-in questions. "Why do you want the Mission to the Moon 1969?", "Why does this ESTA have 32 questions?" "Whom would you take with you to the moon?", etc. The answers that are most creative, make them laugh, or they enjoy the most will be the ones that they approve. If you rushed through the application, tried to answer too seriously, put in nonsense or otherwise didn't have a fulfilling answer, your chances probably aren't great. It's inevitable that a small number of applicants that get approved won't respond in the 48 hour period, meaning Swatch will have to re-roll those slots. In the end, they might end up picking and approving 2,000+ applications, not just 1,969, which betters everyone's chances slightly.

At the end of the day, assuming you even answered everything correctly, like the "On a full moon, are you a somnambulist?" and "Have you ever had an appointment with Dr. Swatch?" nonsense questions with no real way other than know if they want a yes or no, your chances are probably only about 1 in 2,000. Remember, you're applying to buy a watch with enough gold in it to flip to a pawn shop for twice the retail price, one that they only made 1,969 of, so they can't just sell this at any Swatch store.

Expect the worst, but hope for the best!

American Airlines Seniority

Hi,

How does seniority work for American? My class all started at the same time, a week in I still don't know who technically has seniority over who lol.

Swatch's ESTA Questions & Answers: Mission to the Moon 1969

Making this the thread for the form questions. I haven't been able to get much of it to load myself without the website reloading, but I've gotten a few of them to load.

A lot of them seem to be open answer, questions that you have to answer honestly and will be reviewed in the selection process. That said, the multiple choice ones are supposed to be answered correctly.

One of the first (and honestly the only multiple choice question I remembered) asks if you have donated a golden desk clock to the president. This probably references when Rolex bribed Trump to remove tariffs on Swiss imports, and with Rolex not being a Swatch company, the answer is pretty safely no.

The next asks if you've ever criticized the moon on social media- I'm personally not sure if this is in reference to anything particular, if anything my guess is when the MoonSwatch launched and everyone was calling it cheap plastic, but the answer is almost certainly again "No."

Third and only other one I remember was asking what time the Eagle lander landed on the moon, but in beat time. Swatch's beat time separates the day into 1000 beats, the lander landed at 15:17 PM CDT, but the answer probably wants UTC as it's a global form, making the answer likely 887 .beats or @887, but again, it's not clear if they want UTC, CDT, or even CET.

If you've been able to get into the form, let us know the questions answered answers!

The complete Moonshine Gold set

In February 2024, 11 Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch Suitcases went to auction, each holding the complete set of 11 Moonshine Gold watches, after each Suitcase was displayed in one of 11 Swatch boutiques across 11 cities for 11 days. Each collection up for sale was unique, with the full set of watches having the engraved 3 letter aviation city code for its respective boutique it was displayed in. Also included in this auction was a Moonshine Gold monocle to the left, and to the right, a gold coin with the same 3 letter code engraved. Most notably, this auction included the exclusive and unique Moonshine Gold Suitcase, one that differs from the store display unit in several ways, with unique artwork, a gold embroidered OxS patch, and stainless hardware gold plated in Moonshine Gold to match the collection. This suitcase also features cutouts for the aforementioned accessories not present on display suitcases.

This unprecedented auction made for the first and only time the MoonSwatch Suitcase could be obtained in any sanctioned sale.

Auctions finished on February 24th, 2024, with sold prices ranging from $48,000 to $77,000 USD. Pictured above is the Beijing (PEK) set, photographed by its anonymous owner. Out of the 11 Suitcases, this set reached the highest auction price at $77,180 USD.
