Earthsea Giveaway on Ursula Le Guin Instagram account

The official Ursula K. Le Guin Instagram account is holding a little giveaway with three objects related to Tales of Earthsea, the film and not the book.

I'm not a big fan of the movie but these would be neat to own as a fan of Studio Ghibli.

Here are screenshots of the IG post. You have until August 6th, 12pm PDT, to enter!

Edit: For US residents only!

Prog metal bands without any long songs

I've been thinking about how Protest The Hero is one of my all time favourite prog metal bands, and in my opinion one of the all time greats of the genre, yet they do not have a single song over 10 minutes (Caravan being the longest at 8:39).

While there are many great bands in this genre where it seems at least half of their songs are at least 10 minutes (such as BTBAM), I find it nearly as impressive to be able to pack the complexity of prog metal into a short 4-5 minute song, such as what Protest The Hero has been doing for 20+ years.

Any other examples? I know for most genres 8:39 would be considered a long song, but for prog metal I feel like anything under 10 minutes is relatively short.

Joe is my top artist! (Spotify All-Time)

I fell for it and watched my Spotify All-Time slideshow and learned that Joe Hisaishi is my all-time most streamed artist since 2016, with 6,119 minutes (101 hours!).

Summer on the Dream Songs album is my most played song by him, followed by Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea on Dream Songs, Kiki's Delivery Service with the London Symphony Orchestra and Merry-Go-Round of Life from the Free Piano Stories 4 album.

Anyone else get Joe as their top artist? What are his top songs for you?

Edit: added the album titles

I'm a show watcher only and have watched each season as it becomes available on Netflix or Starz. I plan on reading the final and tenth book when it releases because I need to know how Claire and Jamie's story truly ends and how the rest of the Outlander world wraps up. I have not read any of the books and really don't have the time nor feel like reading them (they are thick books with tiny print!).

Do I need to read the previous nine books to properly enjoy the last book? Should I read Bees at the very least?

EDIT: I've been following this subreddit for quite some time and I'm aware there are minor and major differences between the show and books.

What are The Great Plains

The contestants didn't know the answer, but the Hip prepared me for this one.
