Are they doing meet-and-greets for the Summer Sphere shows like they did last year? I feel like I haven’t seen anything about it but saw quite a lot last year and I’m sure the M&G tickets went on sale around April 2025 if I remember rightly?
Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations for wide/extra wide fit. I’ve never had Asics before and have no idea where to start. I’ve heard the GT-2160 is good but when I’ve read up on them apparently they’re a ‘B’ width?
I’m UK based and the only time I don’t seem to have issues with shoes fitting is when I buy “EEE” fit. Unfortunately, trainers are a huge problem and I can only really find ballet pumps and ankle boots in the EEE width.
Someone recommended Nike Vomero a while back and I couldn’t even get the front of my foot past the top of the laces.
I had Skechers Flex Appeal 4.0 a couple of years ago which were okay but still needed stretching as they nipped slightly in the beginning and the bottom of the soles wore through really quickly. They also didn’t feel supportive enough.
I’ve had plantar fasciitis which comes back every few years and I’ve got recurring Achilles’ pain. I have what is potentially a Haglund’s lump which means I’ve had to go up a half-size to stop it rubbing against the back of my shoes.

I’ve been with Boots since the beginning and got up to 2.4mg which I’d been on for most of 2025. At the end of 2025 I had a couple of months of horrendous migraines and vomiting so I went back down to 1.7mg until I returned to normal.
I’m still on 1.7mg but my partner and I are wanting to try for a baby in the next few months. I want to flush Wegovy out of my system which I’ve been told is around 2 months to fully do it. I don’t really want to taper off the medication by reducing doses back down to 0.25mg, I would rather just gradually taper off the 1.7mg by spreading my injections apart and eventually stopping.
Has anyone ended their treatment, specifically with Boots? I haven’t messaged them yet but I’ve got a feeling they’re going to try and convince me to keep paying for injections by reducing down to 0.25mg before stopping completely.
Evening! Is anyone old enough to remember when Claire’s in the MetroCentre was called Bows ‘n’ Bangles and had the black and blue neon sign? There was also one in Benton Hypermarket when it was the Co-Op, the shop was right down the far end where McDonald’s is.
Can’t remember if there was one in Eldon Square. Someone who is a few years older than me is arguing with me that it never existed - I’m 38 and I used to shop there when I was younger. I can’t remember exactly when it changed to Claire’s but I want to say maybe around 1996?!
Any old photos? I’ve found tonnes of the Metro but none showing the store before it was Claire’s!
