I live in the part of Bay Area with moderately to very hard water. I’ve been using lifestraw pitcher for awhile but looking to switch to a countertop system (renting an apartment, so unable to get an under sink system).
I’ve heard some negative things about the Aquatru carafe system and using these in hard water in general. Softening water seems like a lot of work—would Aquatru still be a good option? Any other purifying process out there?
Everyone stresses the importance of getting insurance, but I've hardly seen anyone's experience with actually claiming (which is probably a good thing. Best possible scenario is to not need it!). I figured I'd share to offer a datapoint to those wondering.
TLDR, I was boarding a dog that started having blood in his urine during his stay. After consulting with the dog mom, I rushed Fido to the emergency vet. We were out of there within a few hours after evaluation and a round of antibiotics.
Filed a claim through PSA on Tuesday and heard from a claims professional exactly one week later on Tuesday. Unfortunately, I've missed the call and called back today (Weds)--we went over the claim more in detail and insurance will work directly with the dog mom to reimbursement payment with no deductible or premium increase to me. PSA will reimburse up to $1000 per occurrence (up to 5 occurrences in a policy year).
SO fortunate that insurance is able to help--regardless of liability. Fido is all better (yay!) with no financial strain to either me or the dog mom. Win win situation for all :) Please, please get insurance--my hope is that you never need it, but it will come in handy if you do.
Highly recommend PSA!
**Question for IHG employees!** At the front desk, if someone is checking in with the IHG One Pass rate, do you ask for verification/proof of eligibility? Or do you check Merlin/some other internal portal for proof?
