Best place without car

I have five days to go to the Dolomites and hope to get some great 3-6 hour) hikes in, as well as walking access to train as well as restaurants, etc. don’t mind taking a gondola or bus, but prefer to hike from my accommodation. any suggestions? will be solo so prefer hotel or hostel, if you might have accommodation recommendation. thank you!

Pōhutukawa Lounge

Has anyone experienced this on the Bluebridge ferry? Worth it? We're taking the 8:15 AM so I'm thinking there may be a brekkie buffet - and coffee? Interested in hearing whether it's worth it - I don't recall every seeing an "exclusive" area before, though I've taken this 8:15 crossing many times? Thanks.

How long does your 80% charge last?

I upgraded my mini in April (2026) to one that has cellular service (though I haven’t connected it yet) and I’ve had nothing but problems. today I FaceTimed for 27 minutes and charge went from 57 to 32%; less than an hour later (just playing around on chrome with 6 tabs open) im at 18%. my old iPad mini I charged about every 3 days. anyone else?

115 to Co Springs?

How is this road to ride between Canon City and Co Springs? Looks like the most direct. Any other recommendations if this is high traffic/high speed? I'm riding a gravel bike, and will likely ride RT, so may a loop. Thanks for any recommendations.

Upgrade to comfort!

I’m a frugal traveler and always seeking the best deals on flights. last week, received the “bid on an upgrade” email prior to my 13+ hour (2 flights with overnight layover) trip. wasn’t cheap, but especially for the 10+ hour flight, I decided to try. I was pissed when my new seat assignment had been downgraded from window to aisle. however. . . after getting a drink in a GLASSS, having a tablecloth, menu with food options, real silverware and enough room for my legs to be completely stretched out to manage my restless leg syndrome, I maybe a convert, especially for the long hauls (6+ hours). the flight attendants even seemed more chill and friendly. just need to add an extra $2000 to my travel budget for every trip now! sooo worth it!

I’m flying westjet from Europe to the USA with an overnight layover in Calgary. traveling with a bicycle. as I’m looking at accommodations for my 12 hour layover, I’m wanting to make sure my bike will be sent straight thru- because it’s an international and overnight layover. anyone have any experience with similar situation? thank you

Looking in to ferry/transport options, given flight cancellations and the duration of the trains. Has anyone had experience with Grimaldi lines along this route? I'm not seeing any cabins available, though it's an 18+ hour journey. Anyone know of any other ferry lines going from Almalfi Coast to Barcelona - or nearby area? Thanks!
