People aged 30+, what do you wish you had done more of in your early 20s that you can't easily do now?

I had workmates who are already regular but got terminated from the firm yesterday due to “failed background checking” and the specific reason on how and why wasn’t explained to us. It feels so vague & a lot of us in the team are overthinking about losing our jobs.

Does anyone know the possible reasons for this? I read somewhere that for some, the reason was they weren’t able to declare other sources of income/ part-time jobs? How the hell does big banks know those things if they weren’t declared?
