Best small shop vac built-to-last?

We bought a small 2.5 gallon craftsman and it broke after maybe 4 uses and lost its suction even when we changed out the filter bag. Honestly, was a piece of junk. Craftsman has some more expensive lineups than the 2.5 gallon, but not sure if it’s worth it considering our luck with the small one. We want something compact and small (we don’t have space in our apartment). Needs to also last a while and not tank out like the one we just had. Any recommendations?

Vintage KitchenAid broken motor?

I recently bought this vintage KitchenAid mixer and I’m not sure if the motor is going to hold ok. I have the mixer on full speed and while it’s spinning smoothly, the sound sounds like it dies down at times (see video). So I’m not sure if I should return it to the seller. It also arrived with a lot of grease dripping on it and coming out of the seams. The seller told me it was normal and to just clean it up since it moved during shipping.
