Bandaid episode

I just watched the bandaid episode (ep102 of the 1989 anime) for the first time and woahh!!!!!

Spoilers ahead -
>!I love how while his other fiancées were fighting over him, he jumps off a building to save Akane! And he confessed his feelings after the influence of the bandaid had worn off…aaah i wanna scream with joy!!! lol While we can see Akane’s feelings grow throughout the seasons, Ranma seems to remain kind of clueless about romance, up until this point. I know we never really get a “happy ending” but this bandaid episode is all the love declaration i needed from Ranma & Akane!< >!🥹😭!<

Anyone else feel me on this one?

For the record - i never finished the anime as a kid. Decided to watch the whole thing in original Japanese, plus 2024 remake recently, and i love rediscovering so much Ranma content. It’s made me so happy!!

“Menopause is a state of mind”

Someone said that to me yesterday and i was too stunned to even think of a reply. And i hate it, i wish i could have punched her. This came from a post-menopausal “well-meaning” woman in her mid 50’s who was talking to me about her massive recent weight loss which she achieved with exercise and calorie deficit. She was trying to make a point that “you can achieve anything you set your mind to” when i was telling her about the side effects of having my ovaries shut down at 37.
The reason i held back was only because this person has also gone through some major medical trauma in the past tied to medical malpractice that has greatly impacted her life. I thought she’d understand me to a certain extend. I also get the toxic positivity she was throwing at me. It’s her coping mechanism.
But that line still effing bugs me!!!!!!

Oh well i guess i’ll go try and meditate my side effects away. Or better yet manifest them away!

Dreamy!

Came across this corset online and its sooo pretty and feminine! What a fashionable tribute to SM. And i love that the designer is a fan too! In case some of you might recognize her she is the designer behind that viral strawberry dress from a few years ago.
Anyway…might splurge on this 🤷‍♀️

If we could swap villains, which teams do you think would go with which leader?

I always thought that Nehelenia and the Ayakashi Sisters would get along well based on vibes, and their redemption arcs.
Mistress9 and Galaxia would be a poweful duo.
Witches5 and Sailor Animamates would be a reality TV kind of mess & fun to watch.

What are your thoughts?

Character flaws of the senshis?

We praise them for their many many positive attributes, but it’s interesting to think of their limitations too.
For example, Usagi completely lacks discipline, which seems to be the root of most of her problems. Ami seems to be risk averse and sometimes too naive. Rei could benefit from some communication and anger management therapy (in the 90’s anime). Minako lacks focus and wants to do it all.

I understand they’re teenagers, but thinking of their flaws humanizes them and makes them more relatable.

What about the other senshis? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Who would be your best friend?

Which one of them would you pick based on their personality?
I think for me the answer would vary based on age.

Teens - Usagi, Ami
20’s - Minako, Michiru
30’s - Makoto, Setsuna

Setsuna often gets depicted in motherly roles in Sailor Moon. Do you think it has to do with her age, character, or did the makers just follow a script formula that worked?

Setsuna started off as Chibiusa’s best friend and we often saw in Sailor Moon R that she stepped into an almost motherly role with her. She is really good with the younger senshis including Hotaru and then briefly with Chibi Chibi. I love her warmth and it seems she is always there when the younger ones need protection and care.
What are your thoughts on this?

What other hair color do you think would suit the senshis?

Here are my takes:

Sailor Moon - unicorn colors (pastel rainbow iridescent hair)

Sailor Mercury - chocolate brown

Sailor Mars - cherry red

Sailor Jupiter - honey blonde

Sailor Venus - royal blue

Sailor Uranus - lilac white

Sailor Neptune - pink

Sailor Pluto - light brown

Sailor Saturn - light blue

Sailor Chibi Moon - strawberry blonde

Does it get better on Lupron & Tamoxifen?

I’m 37 +++ and thrusted into menopause as of 2 months ago. And i’m having a hard time with it.
I have zero energy, my joints hurt, my back is killing me, the brain fog is intense, i cant find words, my muscles are tight, i feel cramps and nerve pain in random places, my mood is at a constant flat like i just cant be bothered with much.
I think slower, i speak slower, i move slower, i feel slower and i dont like it, this is not me! I used to have such an active lifestyle and now i can barely manage to take my kid to the playground twice a week tops!

I’m due for my 3rd Lupron shot in two weeks and im thinking of giving it one more month to see if my body needs the total of 3 months to adjust, before i have a serious conversation with my team.

I’m on 20mg of Tam and when i spoke to my Onc he said i couldn’t do baby Tam because it’s not as effective for Her2 positives like me.
As for the Lupron, they did say they could stop it if i was totally miserable on it.

The funny thing is, there’s no way to tell which one of the two is causing it. And somehow i dread the idea of trying/starting/switching to new meds.

Anybody here who turned a page on or after month 3? Or anyone who stopped Lupron and felt better?
