Looking to ‘upgrade’ from latitude e7470, which used 74xx model should I check?

I see there is 7420 7430 and such, and looks like 7400 is the ‘newest’ old model? I am not looking to do any fancy. Just for school work, writing papers, email, web browsing. And no 2-in-1 I just need a laptop not a touch screen tablet type please. Or is the latitude 5xxx worth checking out too? 14in prefer as my current e7470 is 14in and it’s perfect size for me.

Latitude E7470 charger/charging

I have a Latitude e7470. Works great. Only complaint it still uses the old style big brick charger. I m jealous of the newer laptops that use usb C for charging. Is there any more portable charger options for laptops that still use the older brick chargers?

For ergo reasons I prefer to use a mouse than using the touchpad. What mouse you guys using? Prefer something compact not full size.
