Local custom T shirts?

Hey guys

Does anyone know or have the hook up for some custom tees? I need some for my small business but everywhere online is insanely expensive so I thought I'd come to the hive mind and see if anyone knows a solid place?

I have the colors and designs all ready, just need the blanks and a print shop.

Thanks in advance!!!

Tape measure twisting

I have 3 seperate tapes from Milwaukee and have bought many others. All of them eventually end up twisted at the end like this. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong? Makes life incredibly annoying

LEH Question

Hey guys

I'm in BC and our LEH entry time is coming up in the next couple weeks. I was hoping to enter for a group bison and a couple elk draws but I had some questions. This is my second year seriously hunting and first year applying for LEH.

How the hell do you decide what region to enter a draw for? Just because it's LEH doesn't mean that the animals are in there and for someone who isn't able to scout the whole province, there isn't a ton of info what regions are better than others.

I was hoping to enter a region 1 elk, Pitt lake elk and squamish elk but for region 1 is Lake Cowichan or port Renfrew better? Or if I wanted to head to the Kootenays, what region would hold animals? How do people figure this out without spending a year scouting?

Also not looking for any secret spots, just how do you decide what regions to enter?

Thank you

Hey everyone, ran into some issues with my company and can't seem to find a lawyer that will sit with me for free before I drop 350 bucks on an hour of their time so I need some advice before actually going for it. I am in BC.

So a little background, I worked for a construction related company for about 1.5 years. This company was involved in renovations, demolition and the like. They also ran multiple sites, up to 20 at a time, that I bounced around at (this is important).

Within the last 2 months, I have been laid off and then subsequently terminated without cause. They have not offered or paid any sort of severance which you'd think I was entitled to but there is an exception in the laws that say if you work construction on multiple jobsites, the employer is exempt from paying severance. I believe they are using this to not pay me.

I was originally laid off over text. The text says that I was laid off due to a shortage of work. The next day, my manager texted me asking me to come in for a meeting and that it would be positive. I went to this meeting and audio recorded it. The meeting involved both my managers, the owner and weirdly enough, our scheduling lady but whatever. The owner reiterated that I was being laid off due to shortage of work, I asked specifically why I was the only one in the company that was getting laid off which they then said was due to performance issues (without being biased, the excuses they used for my performance issues are negligible and not reasonable for termination with cause but again, whatever). The owner asked me my financial situation and if I could get by with just waiting for them to call me or if I would like to go on EI. Like the majority of the world, I live paycheck to paycheck so EI (and taking the lay off) was my only option. The meeting ended and I headed home.

I received my ROE the next day as well as having my vacation time paid out and my "final" paystub being sent. I believe that is supposed to be protected if you are laid off? They shouldn't of paid that out right?

Two days later, I received a call asking if I was available for work the next day. I said yes, got organized and went to work the for three days. I wrapped up the job after the third day and on the fourth day, left early for a trip that I had planned months before.

The day after I wrapped up that job I got another text saying that I was terminated without cause and that I needed to return company property including the van. I said I was out of town and would return it when I returned 4 days later. The response read "perfect, thank you". All over text.

When I returned I reached out and dealt with the van but also had to ask 3 times as to why my final pay (for the three days) hadn't been paid out yet. Again, my knowledge indicates that needs to be paid within 48 hours and it had been 5 days. It was finally paid out another 2 days later.

Furthermore, the day that I was originally laid off due to shortage of work, I found multiple job postings for the company looking for workers for my exact position. As the days went on, more ads were posted and updated. Which to me, indicates that their actually isn't a shortage of work but just an excuse to get rid of me.

So I guess my questions are

Did they follow the right procedure?

Am I potentially entitled to anything?

Is it worth sitting down with a lawyer about it? (keep in mind, I am now laid off and 350 bucks is a big deal to me)

Are they protected by that exemption?

What are my options?

I apologize for the length of the post and if I have forgotten anything I will update it. It was a whirlwind of a couple weeks and things moved fast lol

Thank you in advance
