Also tried Tipsy Dumpling…

…which opened yesterday! The place was packed for a Tuesday night. Dumplings are made fresh on the premises. (You can watch the staff making them through a giant plate glass window.)

Total bill before tip including a beer and steamed rice was $95.

I’m a bit spoiled by Asian food in SF, but I’m glad to see this addition to the local scene. Would go back to try other dishes. The string beans were the best out of our entire order.

Went to the new Tartine in Strawberry Village on Sunday, and there was a long queue when we arrived around 10AM. But the it moved quickly, the staff was super friendly and space is so welcoming like the Manufactory in SF.

Not shown was the heirloom tomato tart and peach tart with Mt. Tam cheese since they were consumed too quickly.

Also tried Alioto's veggie sandwich with spicy eggplant. Pretty good (not the best foccacia I've ever had), but I'd definitely go back to try other versions and the flatbread pizza.

Beginning at 5 AM on Friday, all people walking and biking across the Golden Gate Bridge will be routed to the West sidewalk while work takes place on the East sidewalk between the bridge towers. The detour will remain in effect until 5 AM on Sunday. The bridge will also be closed to all bike and pedestrian traffic from 8–10 PM on Saturday, July 4, during the fireworks display.

Salvageable?

A neighbor gave me this plant, and I’m wondering if it’s still possible to resurrect it?

Join us for the 14th Annual Dirt Fondo on Saturday, August 8

Hey Folks,

I'm writing on behalf of the Marin County Bicycle Coalition. We have our annual off-road adventure coming up, Dirt Fondo, on Saturday, August 8 -- and we'd love to see folks out on our beautiful trails! There's 3 different routes to choose from, and they include the newly opened Easy Grade (which admittedly isn't so easy in spots.) Plus there's snacks, support and swag, along with lunch after the finish. Message me if you have any questions or if you'd like to volunteer. Proceeds go towards our off-road advocacy efforts such as expanding trail access, creating safe alternatives to busy roads, education, environmental stewardship and more.

P.S. You can reach out to me about any other cycling-related questions, concerns, etc. in Marin. Thank you!

Considering buying a 1989 Van

I'm planning on checking out a 1989 LE van (2WD) this week. Here's the info the owner shared, and I'd love to hear if there's anything I should look out for or be wary of. He said he just had it serviced at a Toyota dealership 2 weeks ago and has all of the paperwork for me to review.

"Love this van. Never any trouble. I just don’t drive it much anymore.
Runs great.
Recently serviced by Toyota
All paperwork available

260,000 miles
Pros : recent smog ✅
new battery
recent a/c repair, it’s now chilly 🥶 when needed.

Cons : can’t open back or side door from the outside ( inside fine)
My camping gear got robbed and it was easier/safer not to repair."
