Where to meet people?

Hi all,

I hope you are all well.

What would be the best places to meet people of the opposite sex?

I have been told a few times by a few different people that if I wanted to find a girlfriend or so I needed to visit pubs, but which pubs, and where?

Or was it just incorrect advice?

Thanks in advance!

Iwata power jet pro compressor

Hi all,

I hope you are well.

I found a deal on a used Iwata power jet pro compressor, a bit cheaper than a brand new Sparmax C-TC-610H-Plus Compressor.

- Is it a good deal or shall I go with the sparmax?

- Any do and don't when buying a second hand compressor?

- Any other tips?

Many thanks!

Order of paint for jet exhaust weathering

Hi all,

Im trying to replicate the effects on the jet exhaust nozzle from the picture.

I have AMMO MIG A-Stand "hot metal" paints:

1- burnet carbon

2- carbon

3- Violet

4- sepia

5- blue

6- red

In which order do I have to apply the above paints to achieve these effects?

Like, do I have to start from carbon (black) and move to yellow for example?

Any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!

post shading with faint white

Hi all,

I hope you are all well.

Im stuck with this issue for sometime and I need some pro tips.

Im trying to build a MiG-23 scale model and I'm trying my very best to follow this YouTube video on the same build, specifically in regards to painting and post shading:

https://youtu.be/Tk8zOEjNP68?t=700&is=6ElP9kI2zKLgUMup

What he does at 11:41 is to airbrush a very thinned, faint white paint to mimic a post shading effect and later he uses a highly diluted base color to mix everything together.

I tried to use the same formula; 80% IPA and 20% Tamiya XF-2 paint, and it simply doesn't work. The mixture is too thinned and it will create this ugly spider web effect - simply the mixture will run on the surface.

I tried different airbrushes (even bought an exact Sparmax SP-20X) and i tried a different thinner (Mr color thinner) and it still didn't work.

Tried different air pressure, micro adjusted the trigger movement, reached out to the content creator... nothing worked.

The issue is this, either the paint won't come out of the airbrush or I end up getting this spider web effect.

I have attached my test results.

So I'd like to ask this; is there a way to make my white paint more faint without thinning it so much?

I was thinking of adding some transparent medium to balance the paint to thinner ratio better (looking for something like 60% thinner to 40% paint), will this work?

If so, are there any good lacquer type mediums you can suggest?

I have been stuck on this for sometime so any help is appreciated.
