I am determined to get rid of this plant. The dogs like eating grass and this makes me so nervous because it’s everywhere. Anyways today I was pulling some and I noticed that there are two clearly different varieties or completely different plants. Obviously both have similar leaf morphology, similar shapes and both seem to be compound leaves. However the left only has one main stalk and muller shoots with leaves extending from that main stalk. The right one, which I originally thought is og hemlock, has multiple stalks and only has leaves at the end of each one. Both seem to have purple coloration at the base of the stalk, however the right one is clearly evident. Picture 1 is both plants together. Pictures 2-5 are closeups of the left plant and I tried to get a picture of the early buds/flowers. Pictures 6-8 are closeups of the right plant. I am in California.
