My husband doesn’t believe me that this is a brown widow’s nest. I grew up in the country and know the difference between a black and brown widow’s eggs. He swears it’s a moths nest but I’m posting this here to prove him wrong.

We’ve found 2 completely intact deceased blue jays on opposite sides of our property within the last 2 days. Neither had puncture wounds, and neither were near a structure for a collision. Both had at least 1 wing extended.
I’m curious if anyone else has found any deceased birds recently, or if this sounds like an isolated poison incident or someone possibly using them as target practice. So sad nevertheless.
I doubt that 2 in 2 days is enough to warrant a call to FWC, but if that’s not the case, please let me know!
