Grocery Spending
Hi!
I’m going to be at NUIG in the fall for a semester abroad and was wondering if any current students would be willing to share their budgets or estimates of how much they spend monthly on food, toiletries, etc.

I’m 24 and a US size 22/24. All though high school and college, I dressed very blandly, lots of t-shirts and shorts and jeans. I’d really like to start dressing more expressively and interestingly, but I don’t know how. I’m not looking to do a single massive haul and redo my entire wardrobe, but nothing in my desired new style will mess with my old style well. How do I make a more natural transition?
Here’s a Pinterest board with my desired vibe, if that helps (or if you know where to shop for my size, that would be great!)
Is there anywhere in Galway to buy pre-sliced meat for Chinese/Japanese hot pot? I know it’s possible to slice your own but it’s kind of a hassle so wondering if there’s anywhere nearby.
Hi!
I’m having car trouble, so planning to take the Greyhound from DC to Frederick and back next Saturday for an event. Unfortunately, the event ends at 9, so the only bus back I can get leaves at 11:30 PM. Will the station be open at that point? If not, is there anywhere 24 hour nearby that I could wait at rather than sitting outside? If so, how reliable is Uber at night in Frederick? Also, how far is the station from downtown? Walkable? Busable?
Sorry to have 1000 questions!
I’m pretty new to polytheism, and had been leaning Irish in my interests, until two nights ago, when I had a dream that I was trapped in an obstacle course and Hermes help me escape it, and then told me to call on him if I needed his help again with anything. This seems too direct to actually be anything from the god, but I figure I ought to acknowledge it in case. What do you guys think? If it is him, why might he do it? What should I do?
I almost bought this book yesterday, but I wanted to temperature check a little bit on if anyone had reviews for it/knew anything about the author before I bought it. I know she has a PhD in Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic studies from Cambridge and is a professor at St Andrew’s, so I’m inclined to trust she knows what she’s talking about, but I thought I’d ask!
I’m living on my own for the first time at long last, and so I’ve been looking for recipes. Specifically, I need to eat more vegetables. What are easy, quick ways to cook veggies on a stovetop? I don’t want to use the over because it’s too hot, so stovetop recipes (or if you’ve got a fantastic salad) preferred!
Theoretically, the ALA has an agreement with the accrediting body for library schools in Ireland to mutually recognize each other. However, do employers actually stand by this? If one got an MLIS from UCD, would they be able to work in the US? As a US citizen.
Hi!
I’m still in undergrad and am planning to take a couple of years to work before getting my MLIS but am looking at hypothetically programs out of curiosity. I saw that the University of Indiana Bloomington has a dual masters in Library Science and Folklore. I’ve taken a couple of Folklife Studies courses, so I’m familiar with what it is as an academic discipline and how it works. The question is, is this a viable combination? Would it help me on the job market, or should I find either a dual masters in library science and say, history, or a single masters? If any of you have done it, how is the program? What are admissions like, and how was the quality of the education?

My coworkers can’t read my handwriting. How bad is it, really, and how can I improve readability?
