A lovely lady made this gown for my Regency event. I chose the fabric and pattern and she was graciously attentive to every small detail. It must be my favourite dress! It would be a shame not to find an opportunity to wear it again so I’ve decided I’d like to wear it to my school formal; but I’m not sure how to style it for that context. I thought maybe styling my hair down or wearing a different coloured ribbon around my neck? I’ve kept my eye out for unique antique jewellery and accessories but am yet to identify what I’m missing. Any advice?

I absolutely adore the cold satin, weight and silhouette. It would be a shame not to find an opportunity to wear it again. I thrifted this white off-shoulder dress the other day. I have ethereal-ingenue-classic essence with SD lines so the style, off-shoulder neckline and soft draping stood out to me. The dress is midi so it sits at my knee. It wasn’t terrible in terms of vertical but it still felt off. I was feeling experimental and layered a white maxi skirt underneath. Is it harmonious?
