Added anti squirrel sauce. Birds stopped coming.

Coles sauce from Amazon.

The damned squirrels were tearing up my patio, so I had to resort to chemical warfare. I mixed it on the light side, not wanting to drench the seeds too heavily.

Now it’s been five days and I haven’t seen but a handful of birds. Even the jays won’t touch the peanuts. I have never seen a Jay turn down a peanut.

Now I have full feeders, no birds and no squirrels.

I’m disappointed. I wanted to discourage the squirrels but I haven’t even seen my gorgeous wood peckers since the day I put this out.

Have they lost confidence in the squirrels absence?

Coincidentally, the trees out front are full of black cherries so maybe they are just preferring that right now.

Still. I miss my birds. It’s so dead out there that I’m even starting to miss the squirrels.

I’m worried I’m going to have to throw out the five gallon bucket of premium seed I mixed up with this stuff.

Large tree, small black berries. NC south US.

Beautiful tree. The fruit smells lovely and the squirrels love it. I couldn’t find any fresh green leaves on the ground sorry!!

▲ 10 r/moths

First time raising these little dudes or any caterpillar for that matter. Hoping someone could answer this question.
The really tiny tiny ones put off a lot of FUZZ. It freaks me out and I’m so paranoid it’s mold. The ones that are getting bigger produce it less.

Is the fuzz mold or molt? I’m leaning towards molt.

So nervous I’m going to mess up. They are so precious.
