How do you go about finding an accepting parish?

Hey all, I’m sorry if this has been asked a million times before. I’m a trans girl who is looking to convert to Catholicism, the problem is that all of the resources I’ve been recommended (like New Ways Ministries) have only pointed to churches quite far from me. I asked this question last night in the trans Christianity sub and was met with a lot of people telling me to just go to an Episcopalian church, which I understand their point, but I’d rather to keep to the Catholic faith. I live in a very rural, conservative part of Missouri, somewhat close to Springfield if that at all helps. I’m willing to accept anything that isn’t outright hostile at this point. Thank you all in advance, I’m very thankful I stumbled upon this subreddit.

Trans Catholic Aspirant in deep red state. Am I out of options?

I live in a very conservative area in Missouri. I’ve tried finding an affirming parish (or at least a non-hostile one) through all the usually recommended sites like “Believe out loud” and “gay church” but those weren’t very helpful for my area. The closest I got was New ways ministry’s list, but the closest one to me is around a three hour drive. Does anyone have any more resources or know from personal experience how to find one? I’ve started to lose hope and have been researching Protestant churches with similar beliefs. My closest semi-major city is Springfield, MO if that helps.

Why are mainstream LGBTQ subreddits like this?

I’ve asked this question in a different sub a while ago and got a lot of mixed responses, probably because that sub had a lot of libs despite being for socialists. So I wanted a purely Marxist sub’s perspective this time. As a trans person it’s always extremely frustrating to see my community be so opposed to our own liberation.
