This is getting ridiculous
For a grounds and facilities position.
Edit: The position is for a religious camp of some sort, but I hadn’t realized that when I clicked it. Still super weird, in my opinion

Hello. I am 27f, my mentor is a man in his 40s.
We have worked together for a year with issues here and there but nothing I felt I needed to address or make a stink about. Regular asshole type stuff. I have considered us friends, we bring each other food and DVDs and shit like that.
But today I no longer want to be anywhere near him. We were talking about a coworkers wife, and how she had come in yelling at him for xyz. The context is: the wife was pissed and yelling.
My mentor says: “if that were my wife, I would’ve blackened her eye and broke her knees.”
This took me by shock and I said “you would beat up your wife?” (He isn’t married, it’s all hypothetical)
And he said “yeah if she talked to me like that!”
Then starts trying to justify it by saying the wife is unemployed, lazy, whatever. I told him I just lost all respect for him. We’ve now been working in silence all day.
I am extremely uncomfortable now. He stands too close, leans in too close to hear me talk, I’ve never cared too much before but now I can’t even be a foot near him.
I experienced and witnessed a lot of domestic violence against my mother as a child. This incident has brought up a lot of shitty memories.
I want to go to my boss and ask to be put with someone else. But I am literally the ONLY woman in my entire area. I don’t want it to seem like “ugh this is why we don’t hire women!” Because I have been told, by my boss, that he has always been hesitant to hire women.
What do I do? Should I bring this up or just toughen up and distance myself?
Edit, I am a lesbian, with a wife. Not at all interested in this man. I guess I didn’t realize it isn’t appropriate to be friends with coworkers.
Phew. I sent my gf this doll while she is working out of state on her birthday.
The dolls eyes did not work when I received it and I was super bummed.
Then yall informed me thisisblythe is fake.
I sent it anyway, and she LOVES HER! Come to find out, when she opened the box and tried her out, THE EYES WORKED! Kinda spooky! They only worked for her 🤣
I also just realized that these are the same Blythe dolls related to Kenner LPS and I am an avid LPS collector!! How cute.
Just all around a great thing and a great update.
I started this in march of last year. Chicken/duck poo with hay, Covered it with a piece of plywood, turned and watered it every now and then, until my mower broke. That’s when the Johnson grass took over and I started neglecting the compost bin. Checked it yesterday and the shrinkage was crazy and this was the result!
Learned a lot and excited to try again
Exhilarated and thrilled
(it is pumpkin, right? 😅)
Sorry, maybe not the best photos.
I believe this is silt/silt loam. (?) water takes awhile to absorb and when it’s dry it is very “sandy” and falls through the fingers. It’s not compact, easy to dig in.
But my yard is under a large oak tree. Full shade. I’m going to plant some native woodland species which should help with the erosion. (Right?)
In my garden, I had a tomato plant sink into the earth, and a corn rot from heavy rain.
Will adding manure help with this? Or compost?
I’m very interested in soil and soil science, but I only know what YouTube has taught me. I’d like to know more about this. Any comments/thoughts help. Thanks :)
Update I feel so silly and ridiculous since I have apparently been bamboozled 😀 thanks for the replies
Hello. I got this as a gift for my gf from
thisisblythe dot com. Is it supposed to be so… uneasy looking? I’m afraid she won’t like it. It came with its eyes stuck looking down and to the right. Like an expression of fear 😭 help. Is this just how these dolls are or is there something I can do.
(Sorry I don’t know if the tag is right idk what any of those tags really mean)
