What do gems do?
I've just got back in the game (I played on release I think) and what do gems do? Gold seems like it's used for almost anything, but i don't really know what to spend my gens on

Low orb vs Free ball?
They are both less stationary than ball and serve their purpose as a kind of hybrid between a defensive/stamina bit (BC they both stay in the center like a defense bit but have more stamina then most defense bits) so why is free ball so much more used?

Why 960 on hover?
Why 960? Wouldn't 160 give it better attack power? Wouldn't 360 and 560 give it more stamina? I don't have the blade because I'm in Asia so I only get Takara Tomy products but why is 960kick so commonly used?
