Ejipura flyover: no footpath between Koramangala water tank and Kendriya Sadan

I wanted to post about this earlier, but with footpaths finally becoming a topic of discussion again, maybe this will get some attention.

As part of the Ejipura flyover construction, the footpaths on both sides of the road from the Koramangala Water Tank junction to the front of the Central Public Works Department (Kendriya Sadan) have been completely demolished. There is literally no safe place to walk.

This stretch is used by hundreds, if not thousands, of pedestrians every day. People are forced to walk alongside fast-moving, heavy, and often chaotic traffic because there is simply no alternative.

Basic pedestrian access shouldn't disappear for years during a major infrastructure project.

I often see discussions about footpaths in Indiranagar, Malleswaram, and other well-off neighbourhoods. But what about stretches like this, where thousands of ordinary people walk every day? These pedestrians deserve the same level of attention and safe infrastructure.

A scientist trying to crack a difficult problem: finding the right partner - 34M | Bangalore | India

Hi! I'm a 34-year-old man from Kerala, currently based in Bengaluru. I have a PhD in Physics and work as a Project Scientist on an Indian space telescope mission. My research is in astrophysics, and I'm fortunate to work in a field that continues to inspire and motivate me. My current position is contract-based, which is fairly common in academic research, and I plan to continue building my career in academia and scientific research, with the goal of securing a long-term position.

I was born into a Catholic family, but I'm agnostic. I'm open to people from all backgrounds, and neither caste nor religion is important to me when it comes to relationships.

I'm 5'11" tall, reasonably fit, and enjoy staying active through volleyball, running, and long walks.

Outside work, I'm a curious person with a wide range of interests. I enjoy exploring music, films, art, poetry, science, history, and philosophy. Open-source software and coding are long-time passions, and I often find myself reading, learning, or listening to talks on subjects that spark my curiosity.

As a person, I value kindness, dignity, intellectual honesty, and balance. My political views lean left of center, though I generally avoid extreme positions. I try to live simply, stay within my means, and focus on what matters most: meaningful work, close relationships, personal growth, and making a positive contribution to the people around me. Kindness and being helpful are values that guide how I live. Family is important to me, and I care deeply about the people I love.

I'm looking for a kind, thoughtful, and emotionally mature partner with whom I can build a warm, supportive, and intellectually engaging life. Shared values matter more to me than shared hobbies. If you're curious about the world, enjoy good conversations, and are looking for a genuine partnership based on mutual respect and affection, I'd be happy to get to know you.

Other details: I don't smoke. I drink occasionally and in moderation.

Someone did this for Mumbai, so I had to see it for Namma Bengaluru. A cleaner vision for Majestic.

Any local movie clubs in Bangalore that meet up to watch and discuss arthouse/cinema classics?

I’m looking for a smaller, casual circle of people.
