Looking for an OLED Touchscreen 2-in-1 for college (IISER) + very casual gaming (~1.2L INR)

Body:

Hey everyone,

I am starting my college journey at IISER soon and am looking to buy a new laptop primarily for my studies, research work, and daily academic tasks. My budget is around ₹1.2 Lakhs, and I am also planning to buy a separate tablet (around ₹30k–40k) for hand-written notes and annotating PDFs.

I’ve been customizing a Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 on Lenovo's website, and here is the current configuration I'm looking at for ₹1,24,413 (includes a 3-year premium care + accidental damage protection bundle):

\* Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 226V

\* RAM: 16GB (Memory on Package)

\* Storage: 512GB SSD

\* Display: 14" WUXGA (1920x1200) OLED, Touchscreen, 60Hz, 400 nits

\* Graphics: Integrated Intel Arc Graphics

My Usage:

  1. Primary (95%): Academic work, reading dense scientific research papers, heavy browsing, multitasking, and casual coding/data analysis.

  2. Secondary (5%): Very casual gaming just to unwind. I won't have much time to play games anyway. My phone already runs Genshin Impact at Medium/High at \~40 FPS, so I just want the laptop to handle games like Genshin, GTA 5, or Resident Evil casually at decent frame rates (even on Medium settings at 1080p/60 FPS).

My Dilemma:

The customized panel on this Yoga 7 is locked at 60Hz. While I know 60Hz is standard and saves battery life for long library sessions, I want to make sure I am getting the best value for ₹1.2L.

\* Is the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V with 16GB RAM future-proof enough for a science student who doesn't plan to use an eGPU or heavy dedicated graphics?

\* Are there any other Lenovo OLED touchscreen/2-in-1 laptops (or options from other brands available in India) in this price range that offer a higher refresh rate (90Hz/120Hz) without sacrificing battery life?

Would appreciate any advice or alternative suggestions before I hit buy! Thanks!

"Is sacrificing a potential MBBS seat worth it to pursue research at IISER TVM?"

Okay

So on third may I give neet and i was scoring 583 marks in total

I also give CUET for my last backup plan

And I also give nest but I didn't at the marks of nest cause I was not feeling good I am not feeling good that it went good

Now at last

I also give the Iiser aptitude test and I am scoring a solid 122 marks

Now my question here is my parents are saying they can get me a private medical college after reneet

But I don't want private medical college

And I don't know why I want to get in research line

So as now I am scoring like approximately 600 in my neet mocks

So I have a hopium that I will get 550 + in reneet if everything goes good

So even if I get to like Medical College Government Medical College but I don't want to do medical or MBBS my question is sacrificing the medical line is it worth for iiser TVM ?
