What if you accidentally get pregnant?

Since the majority views vasectomy and ligation as haram due them being considered permanent (because reversing them has a low chance of success), that leaves us with only IUD, implant, BC pills, and condom.

While these options are still pretty effective, they are not 100% like vasectomy or ligation. So what if you still get pregnant accidentally? What are the odds of that happening?

And would you abort or keep the baby?

This has been really bothering me because it feels like there is always a risk of still getting pregnant, which makes me scared of getting married and having intercourse, although I am, too, tempted by my sexual desires and want to fulfil them in a halal way.

What was the “Aha” moment that made you realise life is more than just money

When did you start to care less about money and more about the simpler things in life (health, friends, 8 hours of sleep, peaceful weekends)?

Was it after having accumulated a certain amount of money, or perhaps after losing a family member that you wish you had spent more time with, or just growing older and feeling like you haven’t been living your life? Whatever that moment is, feel free to share yours.

I’m at almost RM300k and it feels like I’m more fixated on money than ever before. I am in my mid20s and aspire to retire early (projected before age 38). But I don’t know if it’s worth “sacrificing” the prime years of my life by just working and saving money :(

Anyone doing LeanFire in Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region?

Just curious because I do not see these places getting mentioned as frequent as South East Asian or LatAm countries.

I did some digging on some Moroccan, Egyptian, Algerian, Tunisia subs and found out that they aren’t very expensive places to live in. One downside I can think of is probably the slow bureaucracy and lack of amenities (public transport, hospital) in areas outside the major cities. But even then it doesn’t look that bad from what I’ve read so it still sounds like a reasonable tradeoff.

I could imagine the language barrier might be a dealbreaker to some, but that could apply to other popular destinations in SEA/LatAm too.

Would appreciate if someone who has considered or is currently FIREing there has anything insightful to share?
