Semi key date 1914 S Wheat Cent

Found in the floor in front of the machine. Mintage of 4,137,000. I’d say this is maybe a AG, yeah?

Antiques shop 3 cent nickel pick up for $17

I thought this was a fair deal. Mostly because you can still easily read the word Liberty on the headband. I grabbed this to replace a beat up one in the collection.

Pawn shop pickup at $15 USD

Not the greatest price but I don’t see these that often in the US. Not pictured but I also grabbed a proof Washington half dollar commem for $20, a couple bucks below spot which evened out the transaction.

5 over spot at my LCS. A good deal, yeah?

I’ve scouted out the shops near me and this one place has solid deals on certain things. Just a reminder that it’s worth the time to drive around finding the good shops among the terrible ones.

Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Great movie and a great penny! Are we due for a remake of the movie?

Treat yo self to a new coin Friday pickup

I thought this was a solid deal at $100. The dealer also had a MS69 for spot + 30, which would have cost $110, which doesn’t really make sense to me.

I pressed these years ago and I just cleaned them with some vinegar to make the artwork pop in the photo. The machine is still in service. If you didn’t know, there’s a 1988 movie named after this place. They even play it in the pizza shop, which also serves some pretty solid pie. Few will agree but I enjoy it more than Sally’s or Frank Pepe, neither have penny machines either!
