ISO Custom Bathroom Vanities

Where around Jackson has custom bathroom vanities? I’m not having much luck finding what I need at the chain “box” places (Menards, Lowe’s, etc)

Recommend Off-Beat Artists

Looking to add off-beat, humorous music to the net radio station that I'm slowly developing. The format is rock, blues, alternative, reggae/ska, and unsigned artists. Examples include: Eric Clapton, Foo Fighters, Bob Marley, The Selector, Joy Division, The Cure, Scorpions, and Social Distortion. I'm looking to add some Dr. Demento-type music/artists into the mix.

Stuff I've added so far includes: The Tubes, Frank Zappa, Weird Al, Leningrad Cowboys, Bloodhound Gang, Butthole Surfers, Wesley Willis, Dead Milkmen, The Dickies, The Rutles, and Spinal Tap.

What are some others I need to check out?

TIA...

Jackson Encampment Questions

While I have not seen anything on this, my wife was telling me that she read something on social media about Chelsea PD being seen dropping off the homeless from that community to the encampment down at the Library. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, is anyone aware of agreements between our city government and other adjacent communities to accept them?

Time Spent Maintaining Net Radio Station

For those of you who are doing Internet radio, how often do you update your programming? How long are your shows? How long do you spend producing each program?

I'm trying to get a feel for my project.

Thanks.

Need help editing

On GarageBand 10.4, is it possible to stretch a track or portion of a track? I'm trying to create liners for an internet radio station.

World Building Through Lighthearted/Comical Internet Radio

Well, I have this idea. Establish an internet radio station with a format that is a cross between a college radio station and a commercial classic rock station. But that's not the world-building part. I'm getting to that.

The idea is that this radio station, which I might call "The Train Wreck" (or something similar), is in a fictional part of the US Midwest. And through parody commercials and the DJs' whimsical banter between music segments, listeners learn about this town and region where absurdity is treated like the mundane, and government bureaucracy and small-town grapevine runs things. Or, doesn't run things.

Think WKRP in Cincinnati meets Parks and Recreation meets Prairie Home Companion meets Northern Exposure. Kinda-ish.

What are your thoughts about such a concept?

What are some ideas and suggestions?

Local Radio Reminiscing

A couple of buddies at work and I got onto the discussion of local radio from the 80s and 90s. WKHM, when they used to play music; Q106 with Tim & Lil Debbie, Paul Sutherland, John Robinson, etc.; WJCO. Etc. Etc.

What did you used to listen to back in the day? What do you miss about radio back then compared to now?

Greetings.

I'm a 'slice of life' style lit fic writer who's becoming increasingly unsatisfied with the writing community that I'm a member of. My mentor is jumping ship from there, and I'm following them, but I'm also trying to branch out and (hopefully) find someone or a like-minded group to get acquainted with. Any recommendations would be great.

I'm not looking to self-pub. Though still rough, I feel my writing and my story idea are good enough to get picked up by a small or mid-sized publisher (I know, right? We all have those dreams). Any suggestions would be great.
