I accumulated a half binder of nearly 50 gold stars from the Pokemon ex era. Starting in 2019, here and there I would pick up whatever was auctioned off during slow selling seasons in the hobby and picked up most of these for $150-$300 each.. the most I ever paid on a gs was Charizard for $700 and Rayquaza for $1100 in 2021 before the massive boom.

I haven’t bought any more since, safely they just sat in this binder, here and there I revisit looking at them ✨

My damaged evolving skies booster box case got ran over by something before delivery 😭 luckily it was just 1 of the 6 … today tho that’s a $3k loss I think

In late 2022 when the 25th anniversary hype died off and prices were correcting I spent some of the funds made off celebrations release from my store that got distribution, and reinvested into some undervalued XY booster boxes, and a rare case of these 1st ever Black & White era tins! Which had great Generation 4 packs inside! (I opened some lol)

None of those boxes (besides flashfire) were over $500 per box.

Found this in an old school 2000s binder collection, not a 10 but really clean for not having been sleeved all that time :)

Back in 2019 I bought this box for a record breaking price at the time for $19,000. Dumping my entire savings into it cause I wanted to invest in the future interest of vintage pokemon cards!
