Tried a few Facebook groups but to no avail.

Trying to find an old friend who I've lost contact with. In the 90's we both worked in Old Windsor down the road from Englefield Green. Often at lunch we would go to the Barley Mow pub and was well known in the area. This was quite a few years back in 1992-1995 type of years.

Does anyone know him ? Mark Olding ? He was probably about 35 back then so now about 65 ish? He lived in Englefield Green also with his (at the time) girlfriend Belinda.

In those days there were no mobiles so it was harder to stay in contact. Can't seem to find him at all. Anyone know ?

I run a Facebook group and people are complaining that scammers are contacting them via PM. I tell them to let me know and if they show me a screenshot of the private message i'll then ban that scammer of course from the group.

I just had one myself 'hi join my whatsapp group and we can trade and make lots of money....' type of thing.

I report it, i report the user and it comes back 5 seconds later that Facebook haven't closed down the profile or that as it didnt go against community standards.

In the pre-bot days someone would surely see the message i reported, click on the link and see its a dodgy whatsapp group link and realise that the person spamming these is a scammer

But no, Facebooks algorithm see's nothing wrong in a complete stranger trying to get me to join a dodgy whatsapp group to scam me.

Wish it was like the old days and i could easily talk to a human

Hi, i've got two apps, a game called #DRIVE and the ebay app

I have a red '2' as i have two updates, i update the apps. The animation starts and they're updated. But then about 10 minutes later i've got another two updates on the app store, I check and its the same two apps again !

I've tried deleting them and reinstalling from 'fresh' thinking the latest update will be included. But again 10 minutes later i've got another red number 2 and the two updates on the app store are these two again

Anyone have any issues with apps which won't seem to update or constantly keep trying to update ? I could delete them but I would rather keep them, just very frustrating and not sure what else I can do. Cheers

For some strange reason I keep constantly getting posts for ‘let’s find 1,000,000 Hindus’ group

It doesn’t say it’s promoted. It says join next to it as I’m not a part of the group. I thought I could select the three dots and block it or say I don’t want to see it again. I select hide post but I constantly keep getting them

I know Hindus are very nice people but I just don’t want to join the group ! How can I stop seeing a groups posts which I’m not part of ? Can’t seem to stop it and it’s constant. I’ve never posted in this group or interacted with it. You often see the odd post from a promoted group but this isn’t even promoted. It’s like I’m in the group but I haven’t joined or followed
