Similar books to Coke or Pepsi?

I saw this was asked before, but I didn’t really see any suggestions that fit what I was looking for.

BACK IN MY DAY, circa 2011, I bought these books from the scholastic book fair, called Coke or Pepsi. It had fun activities and questionnaires to fill out, and one of them I think you have your friends fill out. My mom probably threw mine out, but if I found them and read them, I’d laugh and cringe at my teen years.

ANYWAY, are there still books out there like that? Maybe I’m in the middle of a pre midlife crisis and need some nostalgia, I’m gonna be 30 in a few years

Thank you😭

[FULLY LOST] October 2, 2008 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live

In September 2011, someone posted a video of a Jimmy Kimmel Live “This Week in Unnecessary Censorship” segment, which I believe was originally from October 2, 2008. For those of you who do not keep up with Jimmy Kimmel, he has a segment every Thursday where he takes news clips or clips from tv shows, and bleeps innocent words to make them sound dirty.

In the episode I’m talking about, there was a clip from Sesame Street where Murray, that orange puppet who used to do “word on the street” and “Murray had a little lamb,” went to art school. He is trying pottery, and goes, “what the heck did I make?”
Jimmy Kimmel, in all his glory, put that line in his show, but it came out as “what the [bleep] did I make?” And it was something my dad and I laughed at for a really long time. Not long after we saw it, the video got removed for copyright purposes. I want to show it to my dad again, and there’s no easy way to find clips of Jimmy Kimmel Live that are THAT old.

I looked on Internet Archive, and it doesn’t look to have it at all. I do believe once in a while someone posts old episodes

Would the scrapped Gibby show have done as well as Sam & Cat?

**FORGIVE ME FOR THE RABBIT HOLE**

I just discovered the unaired pilot of the scrapped show “Gibby!” and while I thought it was lame as an adult, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it when in 2012 when I was 13.
Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider ended up scrapping this show in favor of Sam & Cat, likely due to Ariana Grande stepping into the music scene, as well as people eating up the prospects of another iCarly x Victorious crossover (iParty With Victorious was a bop btw).
I never liked Sam & Cat, mostly because I wasn’t a fan of Ariana Grande or the character Cat Valentine, even before she made it big, nor did I think that show was funny, except the delivery of Jennette McCurdy’s lines. So I sometimes wonder what could have been if they had chosen the Gibby show over Sam & Cat.

Here’s a few possibilities that come to mind (I guess more of a butterfly effect sort of thought):

-while it would have been pure fan service, since Gibby was truly a fan favorite, I think it likely would have lasted 1 season, maybe 2, before either Nickelodeon cancelled it, or Noah Munck decided he had enough.

-on the other hand, in recent years, we learned Noah Munck wasn’t fond of being the “butt of the joke” as Gibby, and that was part of why he did not return for the 2021 revival. If Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider had proceeded with this show, would Noah Munck still have that resentment? From what I saw in that pilot, Gibby has somewhat matured, and took on somewhat of a leadership role amongst the kids who were being bullied at the middle school.

-per Jennette McCurdy’s book ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died,’ prior to Sam & Cat being greenlit, the show was supposed to be called Just Puckett, about Sam becoming a school counselor. However, after Jennette McCurdy signed that deal, they reworked the show into Sam & Cat, citing the popularity of Ariana Grande and the character Cat Valentine, and everything changed. Had the show been released with its original intention, it is possible that the concepts of Just Puckett and Gibby! could have co-existed, or possibly been merged.

-similar to Noah Munck’s resentment, I wonder maybe if Jennette McCurdy would presently have a slightly better relationship with Nickelodeon, or at least returned for the iCarly revival. Surely, regardless, the book would still exist.

If you made it to the end, thank you! And sorry about the rabbit hole! I would love to hear other people’s thoughts!

Do policy reminders on InSTALLments generally get added based on recent incidents?

On this week’s InSTALLments, they reminded us about the policy of verbal abuse and threats to other employees. I don’t work a lot of hours per week, so i was wondering if things like this usually get added when something relevant happened. I’ve been with the company 3 years and have never seen something like this on there
