Will the new Oasis documentary come to TIFF?
Just saw that it's going to Venice. Would be a cool crossover of two of my favourite cultural things - tiff and oasis lol

But I heard it's skipping festivals?
I guess mainly for those telling others to hold.
Something I've noticed lately - mu reported its earnings and stock prices fell, and people here acted like this was totally expected. Then samsung announced its earnings and yet again it's falling and yet again people acting like it was totally expected.
Why did you hold? Unless your cost average is like $100 lol
I loved them last year and I actually liked how secretive & guarded they are about how they move - I think it helped build up hype. But now it's getting to a point they're not keeping me on the edge of my seat anymore - I'm just losing interest. They obviously do have shit planned as they still drop little bread crumbs but this vagueness is getting tiresome instead of exciting.
I have tickets to Fan Fest and my friend thinks Stackt Market has better vibes and wants to go there instead. Has anyone been to both?
I recently found out about the friends tab, and I will literally never like anything again. It's not even about whether there's anything that I want to hide but it's just my friends don't need to know every single f****** part of my life and interests. Does nobody on Instagram actually understand that the more they force our behavior on Instagram to be public the less we'll engage with it?
Only been listneing for about a month but just something I noticed. They go off on side conversations so much! Sometimes they make their way back quickly but sometimes it just....drags on and they don't quite make it back to the original topic lol. Obviously still great podcast but just curious if this has been noticed or whether this is just part of their charm?
Give us the extended version as re-release in imax for limited time later in the summer. We want to give you money. Please take it. Be shameless. Be greedy. Do you know how much happiness and joy this film has brought people? For some it's literally one of the only small positive experience in this shitshow of a world. If not for money do it as a good will to society.
I'm Korean and it seems like all everyone is talking about is the market.
Recently I saw an interesting study - that majority of people who actually invested in this market only invested $1000 or less, and people who invested $100,000 or more is only 7% of total investors. People who invested $200,000 or more is even less than that.
It means even if you were somehow able to ride every single rally, most people probably made around $1000~$10,000 in profit. It's not bad, but that's hardly life changing. I personally made around $30,000, and even though it might seem like small change to some people here, I consider myself incredibly lucky.
Yet simultaneously we hear about how everyone is becoming a millionaire. So obviously there's a mismatch. Personally I think the growing narrative that everyone else is getting rich except you is harmful - especially to young people who already feel squeezed for opportunity to better their lives the "traditional" way. I know too many young people who are taking out loans and jumping into investing with no experience, which is dangerous.
I purchased the digital version but I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet. It was just such a special experience watching it in the theatre and I know watching it at home isn't going to even come close to it. I was lucky that I watched it in a sell-out theatre with 400+ other people twice, but I wish I had gone more. I wish they would bring it back to IMAX again later in the summer so I get to experience that again. Literally have never experienced this kind of feeling with any other movie in my life, lol
I know in the beginning they both said they liked it and that it was fine but then the rest of the episodes felt like them listing disappointments lol or did I get the wrong vibe? Personally I thought the movie was atrociously bad so was surprised that they liked it but all the flaws they pointed out checks out with my impression of the film.
Or is it worse this year? Any remotely sunny or nice days we have so far is ruined by wind
