been waiting for literally WEEKS to score this restock, and it was worth it 🤌🏻
saw this while scrolling on threads and my face went 🥴 bc tbh the matcha scene is borderline oversaturated (if not already) and most pop-ups have the words "whisk" in their names to emphasize that they serve matcha.
kinda funny how a matcha pop up from alabang is calling out another pop up from antipolo over this, when "whisk and sip" is so not an original name in the first place and unless you trademark it, anyone can technically go by that name right? and they're not the first to think of that name too so they don't have any claim over it whatsoever.
this was the best matcha i've had in korea, which is considered mid-level matcha by our standards here 😆 been to 10+ cafés in the two weeks we were in seoul and this was the only decent cup of matcha i've had the whole trip.
it was a little on the sweeter side but! the matcha flavor was still preserved and they used a blended cultivar powder (i asked and it was a mix of yabukita & samidori).

i have to repeat the year because of my failures.
it's even worse if you know me irl; honor student since elem, dean's list in college, graduated with latin honors, did all the fancy extracurriculars (debate, journalism, sports) —all of that to end up failing and repeating the year again in med school, to graduate a year behind my og batch, to add another year in the already long time it takes to become a doctor.
how does one cope and recover from this? how does one bounce back from a failure as big as this? how does one move on?
there's a cute library + bookstore in the departure area of incheon airport that connects with starbucks. i highly recommend you check it out if you get the chance.
they have a shelf of english books with mixed genres and ended up getting these two to read on the flight back home & as keepsakes so i'll remember that i bought these books during my korea trip bc i'm sentimental like that :')

stopped over davao city otw to mati. i asked locals for a matcha spot that opened early because we arrived at davao around 8am, and MANU COFFEE was one of the top recommendations for an early matcha fix.
so glad i listened to the locals. 10 out of mf 10.
my sisters & i ordered the classic matcha oat, berry matcha, and sea salt cream matcha. all four drinks totaled to ₱1,020. so freaking worth it because we savored it until we reached mati 3 hrs later. and guess what? the ice never made it taste bland or lasaw, the fullness of the matcha flavor was preserved till the last sip.
will definitely go back to dvo just for to go on a dedicated matcha hopping trip! 🍵

for me, i'd say worth it siya! it's bulky and chonky yes, but i've had no trouble bringing it to school even though i hand-carry it lang. it's also nice to see the layers of my matcha while keeping it insulated!
