[AMOLED & MIP] Stratum Elite

This one went through a lot of design iterations before I finalized this layout and went ahead with it.

Core idea was not to over-crowd the dial and keep a good amount of white-space around the data slots.

Compatible with a lot of MIP models.

Loads of customization options available - colors, background and complications.

12h trial available: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/8a1cc0ff-6518-45be-adc4-8cd454befa07

[Garmin] - Timezilla Watch Face launched!

Been working on this watch face since 4-5 weeks now, and felt it's ready to be released.

Built around the idea that time should always be readable, no matter what. So time takes the center-stage on this one. Tried to be creative with the side progress bars - rounded segments, partial fill-ups in the segments.

Also, all the slots are completely configurable and their visibility can also be turned off for a more clean look.

  • Full MIP and AOD support
  • On-device settings
  • 3 fonts and 6 theme options

8 hour trial included, then a one-time purchase through K-Pay.

I'm the developer, happy to cater to any requests anyone has 😄

If you like this watch face, I'd really appreciate a Connect IQ review as it helps a lot.

Looking for WearOS testers: The Chronicle, a newspaper front page with 7 editions.

Newspaper watch face for Wear OS, ready for a closed test.

**The dial:** your watch typeset as a front page. A masthead carrying the weekday, Oxford rules,

a folio line with the date and your battery, the time spelled out in italic as a kicker, then the

time itself as the headline. Underneath, an agate listings row of steps, heart rate and the outside

temperature, and the seconds set as a page number at the foot.

**Settings:** 7 editions, each a separate press run rather than a hue slider. Two of them print on

a real scanned paper ground. English or French, or Auto to follow the watch. No ads, no tracking,

no data collected, and no app code in the package at all.

**Always-on:** the page keeps its structure when your wrist drops instead of collapsing to a bare

clock. Measured on a Galaxy Watch 7 at 5% of pixels lit against Google's 15% budget.

**What I need:** 12 testers opted in for 14 straight days, which is what Google requires before a

new personal developer account can publish anything. Leave it installed for the two weeks and tell

me what annoys you. Public release about 3 weeks after the test fills.

**You need:** a ROUND Wear OS 5 watch or newer (the face is Watch Face Format v2, which needs API

34), and a Google account in one of 172 countries.

It's a paid app at $1.99, and testers get it free through the internal track. Comment or DM me

and I'll set it up, takes about a minute. Happy to test back, drop your link.

There is a Garmin version of this face on the Connect IQ store. That is a different app on a

different platform, and it is not what this test is about.

**How to join. Do these in order, and step 1 is the one everyone misses:**

  1. Join the tester group at https://groups.google.com/g/the-chronicle-testers and hit "Join group",

signed in with the same Google account your watch uses. Google only opens a closed test to

members of the group behind it, so until you're in, step 2 will just tell you the app isn't

available. Anyone can join, there's no approval step.

  2. Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.priyanshdwivedi.chronicle with that same account

and tap "Become a tester". This is the step that counts toward the 14 days.

  3. DM me the Gmail address you used. I add it to the free-install list and send you a second link,

which is what makes the app cost you nothing.

  4. Open that link, then install The Chronicle from the Play Store on the watch. Skip that page's

"Download test app" button, it opens the web store which quotes the full price to everyone.

If a step errors out, message me and I'll help sort it.

Closed test needs 1 more opt-in: Circuit Mosaic, round Wear OS 5+. I will opt into yours the same day.

Circuit Mosaic is a Watch Face Format v2 face for round Wear OS 5 and newer. It is in closed testing and sitting on 11 of the 12 opted-in testers Google wants before a personal developer account can publish, so one more person starts the 14 day clock.

Straight swap. Opt into mine and I will opt into yours the same day, and I am already in two faces from this community.

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/circuit-mosaic-testers with the Google account your watch uses. Play only opens a closed test to members of the group behind it, so this step has to come first or step 2 reports the app as unavailable.

  2. Open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.priyanshdwivedi.circuitmosaic and tap "Become a tester". That is the step the 14 days count.

  3. It is a paid face at $1.99, so send me the Gmail your watch is signed in with and I will add it to the internal track, which is the route that makes the install free. Opting in costs nothing either way.

The dial: a black face tiled by angled shards, wired by circuit traces, eight data tiles that fill bottom-up like a level, four of them assignable. 9 colourways. No ads, no tracking, no data collected. Drop your link and I will return the favour.

Looking for WearOS testers: Circuit Mosaic, a circuit-board face with 9 colourways. Will test back.

Circuit board watch face for Wear OS, in closed testing on Google Play right now. It is not on the public store yet, so this is an invitation to the test rather than a release.

The dial: a black face tiled by angled shards, outlined in a thin accent stroke and wired together by circuit traces with solder-dot nodes. Eight of the shards are data tiles that fill bottom-up like a level. The centre is a large outlined digital readout in a glyph set drawn for this face.

Settings: 9 colourways, and 4 of the 8 tiles are yours to assign, at 11, 1, 5 and 7 o'clock. A tile fills only when its reading has an upper cap, so a step count fills and a date does not. No ads, no tracking, no data collected.

What I need: 12 testers opted in for 14 straight days, which is what Google requires before a new personal developer account can publish anything. Leave it installed for the two weeks and tell me what annoys you. Public release about 3 weeks after the test fills.

Is the time readable at a glance?

Working on a new watch face placing time as the center piece. I made it especially for people who have difficulty reading small things, so I made sure the time is big.

Calling it "Timezilla". It will be available on 39 AMOLED and 48 MIP, round only devices.

Shot on my old and wise venu2.

I made a watch face that shows four words instead of four numbers

This face reads your Body Battery, stress and heart rate against your own baselines and prints one line saying what to do with the next hour. Four words at most. A stress reading of 40 is read against what is normal for you at that hour, not against a fixed threshold.

There is no room on a dial for the numbers behind that line, which is why the companion app exists: it shows every signal the verdict used and the rule that fired. Everything runs on the watch and nothing leaves it. Same inputs, same verdict.

A free version exists if you want to try the idea before paying. Links and prices in my first comment.

If you put this on a MIP fenix, I want to hear how it reads outdoors. I have an old Venu 2 and a simulator :)

I designed a newspaper styled watch face, then tried to make the typography survive on 85 Garmin models

I wanted to see whether a Garmin watch face could look like the front page of an old newspaper instead of another mini-dashboard.

The weekday became the masthead. The date and battery sit in the folio line. The time written in words is the kicker, the digital time is the headline, three live metrics form the listings, and the seconds sit at the bottom like a page number.

There are four editions: Archive, Ink, Financial, and Sport. The two photos here are of Archive and Ink running on real watches.

MIP was the difficult part. Archive relies on a full-screen aged-paper bitmap, and that bitmap exceeded the launch-time memory available on MIP watches. I removed Archive from MIP instead of shipping a flat imitation of it. MIP starts with Ink and still includes Financial and Sport.

It now supports 85 round Garmin models: 42 AMOLED and 43 MIP.

It is a paid face: $2.49 once after a fully unlocked 12-hour trial, with no subscription.

https://apps.garmin.com/apps/85555df1-881b-4fcc-9cf9-a600843597a8

I would especially like feedback from MIP owners. Are the smaller folio and listings lines readable at a normal glance outdoors, or does the page feel too dense?
